Operator Cartel's Weekly Report -
Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain. Farming Tales differs from other blockchain-based farming games because:

It has beautiful graphics and uses a 3D graphics engine (Unity).

it has some NFTs that are linked to real goods of real farms (saffron, honey,...).
It was these two peculiarities that convinced me to play and invest on Farming Tales along with the fact that Farming Tales has created a community and an account (@farmingtales) on the Hive blockchain which is my favorite blockchain project.
Farming Tales also has plans to integrate on Hive's blockchain as well (Q3 - 2022) and that's another point that makes me happy although, honestly, I would have liked it if Farming Tales was developed on Hive.
On Farming Tales I play two roles:
- I am a **simple player who decided to invest in the purchase of NFT and tokens
- I am an operator of the Cartel project of the beautiful community called OneUp**.
OneUp is a community of Hive's blockchain ocused on NFT games and blockchain games (https://www.1up.zone/).
OneUp Cartel is: - a Meta Gaming Guild - a Meta Curation - a Meta Dividend Token
I've been managing OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales since January 8, 2022 but before I show the financial results I've achieved in 32 days I want to share and showcase Farming Tales news and updates related to the past week (February 24 - March 2).
Farming Tales News
Greenhouse and the Seed System
On February 27, 2022 at 20:00 UTC, the sale of the NFT Greenhouse began. The sale took place in two phases and the first phase lasted for 10 minutes, during which, the purchase was only enabled for players who had an NFT Early Adopter Diorama and at least one NFT Vegetable Garden. Myself (with my personal account) and OneUp Cartel were among the buyers in the first 10 minutes. In 10 minutes, 250 Greenhouse NFTs were sold out of a total of 497 NFTs available for sale.

All Greenhouses have been sold and today you can only purchase one from the AtomicHub marketplace and the lowest selling price on the market right now is 700 WAX = $219.10
The NFT Greenhouse is a legendary NFT that allows its owners to produce a Seed Box (NFT) every day. Each Seed Box contains 3 different seeds that are NFTs and like the Seed Box itself, can be sold on AtomicHub or used within the game.
In the following image you can see the display of Seed and Seed Box type NFTs inside the OneUpCartel inventory on AtomicHub.
Within the Farming Tales game area, the NFT GreenHouse is graphically represented by the structure you can see in the following image.
To receive one Seed Box per day, just wait 24 hours and perform the Harvest operation and the NFT Seed Box will be received and displayed in the My Inventory section of AtomicHub.
With the sale and activation of the Greenhouses, the Seed System has been released and the NFT Vegetable Garden can now be used to plant seeds produced by the GreenHouse.
For example, in the Garden of OneUp Cartel I planted two days ago Blueberry seeds and in a little more than a day I will be able to make the first harvest.
First Drop of DAO tokens: LIRA
On February 23, 2022 Farming Tales began the decentralization process of the game and the first LIRA tokens were distributed to SEST (non-liquid but stacked) token holders.
LIRA tokens are the Farming Tales (DAO) governance tokens and will allow players to take part in decisions about the future of the game.
The distribution of LIRA tokens will continue each week and the distribution mechanism will be as follows:
10000 SEST tokens (stacked) = 1 LIRA token per week
At the time of the first LIRA token distribution the 1carteltales account had more than 23000 SEST tokens in stake and in the following image you can see the two LIRA tokens correctly received.
Blend of the Legendary Animals
Operation **Blend of the Legendary Animals began on February 28, 2022. With this operation you can get 1 NFT legendary animal by combining 5 common animals:
- Epic -> Legendary: 1 epic animal + 4000 SESTs Voucher = 1 legendary animal**.

The 3D Animated Animals have arrived
The latest novelty introduced by the Farming Tales development team concerns the graphic look of the game because animated 3D animals have been introduced. Before in the farms the animals were not displayed but now they are. In the following image you can see one of the cows owned by OneUp Cartel
Legendary Animals have the same production statistics (SEST for now) as Epic Animals but have a lower harvest cost (cost in CBIT tokens).
In the following image you can see all the production stats of Animals type NFTs updated with the introduction of legendary cards game stats (source: Farming Tales' Whitepaper).
OneUp Cartel Investment
Initial Budget
After showing and sharing the new features introduced in the last week by Farming Tales it's time to publish my fifth weekly report as an operator of OneUp Cartel that contains the financial evaluation of OneUp Cartel's investment on Farming Tales.
OneUp Cartel decided to initially invest 500 HBD in the Farming Tales project.
My activity as a OneUp Cartel operator began on January 29 when I completed the conversion of 500 HBD into 1583 WAX tokens and today March 2, 32 days have passed.
In the past week, after interacting with @flauwy via comments and on Discord, OneUp Cartel decided to increase their investment on Farming Tales and added 250 WAX with the goal of purchasing a NFT Greenhouse.
OneUp Cartel's investment on Farming Tales has now increased and is: 500 HBD + 250 WAX
The current total value of the investment is $566.25.
The updated total of WAX tokens I had available to invest in Farming Tales is 1833 WAX tokens.
The Assets purchased

CPU
On the WAX blockchain you need to have a minimum amount of resources (NET, CPU, RAM) in order to perform certain operations.
For example, all Harvest operations within the Farming Tales game consume the CPU resource (which recharges over time) and for this reason I initially allocated 37 WAX tokens to the CPU resource.
This week I used the Alcor exchange to buy the SEST tokens needed to purchase the GreenHouse and by placing BID purchase offers I had difficulty making transactions because the CPU resource would often go to 0%.
For this reason I increased the stacked WAX tokens for the CPU resource: 37 -> 51.54**.
The purchased NFTs
In order to start your farming adventure on Farming Tales, you need to make an **initial investment which mainly consists of purchasing at least one of the following card combinations (NFTs):

To date, I have chosen all of the NFTs I have purchased based on a calculation of the estimated annual ROI, a calculation I made for every combination of NFTs on the market before making each purchase.
In the last week I have purchased two new NFTs:

Thanks to the two latest purchases and the daily production of the GreenHouse the NFTs owned by OneUpCartel increased by 5 units in one week and now total 20:

To purchase the NFTs I listed above, I spent a total of 1585.58 WAX.
To purchase the Greenhouse you needed 40000 SEST tokens. To purchase the necessary SEST tokens I used mostly liquid WAX tokens but I also used some of the CBIT tokens and SEST tokens I received as rewards from the game activity.
Excluding the value of the rewards used, the GreenHouse cost 471,168 WAX tokens but the lowest selling price on the market today is already 48% higher than the purchase cost: 700 WAX.
In the following table you can see the list of the cards I bought until today with the indication of the purchase price, the current market prices and the differences between purchase price and current value for each NFT bought.
The difference in value (total purchase price - total current market value) is finally and for the first time positive:
- February 23: **- $42.88
- March 2: + 89.33$**
SEST tokens Purchased

SEST tokens are the native tokens of the Farming Tales game and are obtained through the Harvest operation. To perform the Harvest operation, however, you must have two consumable items: food and water. Food and water represent a cost and can be purchased using CBIT tokens (utility tokens).

CBIT tokens can be purchased, but they can also be produced for free by stacking SEST tokens. SEST tokens stacked provide a daily supply of CBIT tokens.
In order to make the OneUp CArtel farm self-sufficient and able to perform Harvest operations without having to purchase CBIT tokens from the non-game markets on a cyclical basis, I purchased 14970 SEST tokens that I staked in the Wallet section of Farming Tales.
To purchase 14970 SEST tokens, I used the Alchor exchange (https://wax.alcor.exchange/) and spent a total of 195 WAX (January 30, 2022).
The value of rewards
In order to buy the Greenhouse I used part of the rewards obtained so far. In the table below you can see the total value of SEST tokens and CBIT tokens owned by OneUp Cartel.
If I subtract the value of the purchase of 14970 SEST tokens made on January 30, 2022 I get the value of the game rewards received and not reinvested which is $31.93
Although I used just over 1600 SEST tokens to cover part of the cost of the Greenhouse, the total stacked (purchased + received as rewards) SEST tokens from OneUp Cartel increased in one week by 1035 units.
This amount of SEST tokens currently provides a daily reward of 8.27 CBIT tokens = $0.316 per day
Since my last report and in seven days the value of the daily CBIT token reward has increased by +0.232 CBIT (8,272 - 8,040).
Profit and ROI
It's time to do some calculations and compare costs and revenues.
I created a prospectus to show and track the financial results of the Farming Tales investment that I manage on behalf of OneUp Cartel. After 4 reports in which I always recorded a negative result finally the green color colors my report.
The financial results are positive and an ROI of +18.62% in 32 days is a very good result:
- **Profit: + 341.26 WAX = + 106.81$
- ROI: + 18.62%**
The results in my prospectus only take into account investments made using WAX tokens and do not take into account:

the dollar value of the initial investment

the variation of the value in dollars of the WAX tokens

the amount of WAX tokens present in the wallet and not yet invested.
If I consider the current value of the 500 HBD tokens invested in Farming Tales the financial results of OneUp Cartel's investment in Farming Tales are even better:

Final Considerations
The investment on Farming Tales by OneUp Cartel has reached 32 days of effective activity and for the first time I have recorded a financial result not only positive but very positive especially considering the few days to achieve this result.
In the four previous reports I had recorded negative results but I had never worried because I always considered those negative results to be only temporary.
Unfortunately I don't have the ability to predict the future but I saw potential in Farming Tales and I continue to see it.
After I have made the first Harvest from the NFT Garden I will do some calculations and evaluations and decide how to proceed. In all likelihood I will sell some Seed type cards to get WAX tokens to reinvest in expanding farm production.

Farming Tales è un simulatore di farming basato su NFT costruito e sviluppato sulla blockchain WAX. Farming Tales si differenzia da altri giochi di farming basati su blockchain perchè:

Greenhouse and the Seed System
Il 27 febbraio 2022 alle ore 20:00 UTC è iniziata la vendita dell'NFT Greenhouse. La vendita si è svolta in due fasi: La prima fase ha avuto una durata di 10 minuti, durante i quali, l'acquisto è stato abilitato solo ai giocatori che avevano un NFT Early Adopter Diorama e almeno un NFT Vegetable Garden. Io (con il mio account personale) e OneUp Cartel siamo stati tra gli acquirenti dei primi 10 minuti. In 10 minuti sono stati venduti 250 NFT Greenhouse su un totale di 497 NFT disponibili alla vendita.
Tutti i Greenhouse sono stati venduti e oggi è possibile acquistarne uno solo dal mercato di AtomicHub e il prezzo di vendita più basso presente in questo momento sul mercato è di 700 WAX = 219.10$
L'NFT Greenhouse è un NFT di tipo leggendario che permette ai suoi possessori di produrre un Seed Box (NFT) ogni giorno. Ogni Seed Box contiene 3 differenti semi che sono NFTs e come lo stesso Seed Box, possono essere venduti su AtomicHub o utilizzati all'interno del gioco.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere la visualizzazione degli NFT di tipo Seed e di tipo Seed Box all'interno dell'inventario di OneUpCartel su AtomicHub.
All'interno dell'area di gioco di Farming Tales l'NFT GreenHouse è rappresentato graficamente dalla struttura che puoi vedere nell'immagine seguente.
Per ricevere un Seed Box al giorno è sufficiente aspettare 24 ore ed effettuare l'operazione di Harvest e l'NFT Seed Box sarà ricevuto e visualizzabile dalla sezione My Inventory di AtomicHub.
Con la vendita e l'attivazione dei Greenhouse è stato rilasciato il Seed System e gli NFT Vegetable Garden possono adesso essere utilizzati per piantare i semi prodotti dal GreenHouse.
Ad esempio nel Garden di OneUp Cartel ho piantato due giorni fa dei semi di Blueberry e fra poco più di un giorno potrò effettuare il primo raccolto.
First Drop of DAO tokens: LIRA
Il 23 febbraio 2022 Farming Tales ha iniziato il processo di decentralizzazione del gioco e i primi token LIRA sono stati distribuiti ai possessori dei token SEST (non liquidi ma stacked).
I token LIRA sono i token di governance di Farming Tales (DAO) e permetteranno ai giocatori di prendere parte alle decisioni sul futuro del gioco.
La distribuzione dei token LIRA continuerà ogni settimana e il meccanismo di distribuzione sarà il seguente:
10000 token SEST (stacked) = 1 token LIRA per settimana
Al momento della prima distribuzione dei token LIRA l'account 1carteltales aveva più di 23000 token SEST in stake e nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere i due token LIRA correttamente ricevuti.

Sono arrivati gli Animali 3D animati
L'ultima novità introdotta dal team di sviluppo di Farming Tales riguarda la veste grafica del gioco perchè sono stati introdotti gli animali 3D animati. Prima nelle farm gli animali non erano visualizzati mentre adesso si. Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere una delle mucche di proprietà di OneUp Cartel
Gli animali leggendari hanno le stesse statistiche di produzione (SEST per ora) degli animali epici ma hanno un costo di harvest inferiore (costo in token CBIT).
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere tutte le statistiche di produzione degli NFT di tipo Animals aggiornate con l'introduzione delle statistiche di gioco delle carte leggendarie (fonte: Farming Tales' Whitepaper).
OneUp Cartel Investment
Budget Iniziale
Dopo aver mostrato e condiviso le novità introdotte nell'ultima settimana da Farming Tales è arrivato il momento di pubblicare il mio quinto report settimanale da operatore di OneUp Cartel che contiene la valutazione finanziaria dell'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales.
OneUp Cartel ha deciso di investire inizialmente 500 HBD nel progetto Farming Tales.
La mia attività da operatore di OneUp Cartel è iniziata il 29 gennaio quando ho completato la conversione di 500 HBD in 1583 token WAX e oggi 2 marzo sono passati 32 giorni.
Nella scorsa settimana, dopo aver interagito con @flauwy tramite commenti e su Discord, OneUp Cartel ha deciso di incrementare l'investimento su Farming Tales ed ha aggiunto 250 WAX con l'obiettivo di acquistare un NFT Greenhouse.
L'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales è adesso aumentato ed è di: 500 HBD + 250 WAX
Il valore totale attuale dell'investimento è di 566.25$.
Il totale aggiornato dei token WAX che ho avuto a disposizione da investire su Farming Tales è di 1833 token WAX.
Gli Assets acquistati

CPU
Sulla blockchain WAX è necessario avere un minimo di risorse (NET, CPU, RAM) per poter effettuare determinate operazioni.
Ad esempio tutte le operazioni di Harvest all'interno del gioco di Farming Tales consumano la risorsa CPU (che si ricarica con il tempo) e per questo motivo ho destinato inizialmente 37 token WAX alla risorsa CPU.
Questa settimana ho utilizzato l'exchange Alcor per comprare i token SEST necessari per l'acquisto del GreenHouse e piazzando offerte di acquisto BID ho avuto difficoltà ad effettuare le operazioni perchè la risorsa CPU andava spesso a 0%.
Per questo motivo ho incrementato i token WAX in stacked per la risorsa CPU: 37 -> 51.54**.

Per iniziare l'avventura da produttore agricolo su Farming Tales è necessario effettuare un **investimento iniziale che consiste principalmente nell'acquisto di almeno una delle seguenti combinazioni di carte (NFT):

Fino ad oggi ho scelto tutti gli NFT che ho acquistato in base al calcolo del ROI stimato annuale, calcolo che ho effettuato per ogni combinazione di NFT presente sul mercato prima di effettuare ogni acquisto.

Grazie ai due ultimi acquisti e alla produzione giornaliera del GreenHouse gli NFT di proprietà di OneUpCartel sono aumentati di 5 unità in una settimana e sono adesso in totale 20:

Per acquistare gli NFT che ho elencato sopra ho speso in totale 1585.58 WAX.
Per acquistare il Greenhouse erano neccessari 40000 token SEST. Per acquistare i token SEST necessari ho utilizzato in gran parte i token WAX liquidi ma ho utilizzato anche una parte dei token CBIT e dei token SEST ricevuti come ricompensa dall'attività di gioco.
Escludendo il valore delle ricompense utilizzate, il GreenHouse è costato 471.168 token WAX ma il prezzo di vendita più basso presente oggi sul mercato è già superiore del 48% rispetto al costo di acquisto: 700 WAX.
Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere l'elenco delle carte che ho acquistato fino ad oggi con l'indicazione dei prezzi di acquisto, dei prezzi di mercato attuali e delle differenze tra prezzo di acquisto e valore attuale per ogni NFT acquistato.
La differenza di valore (prezzo totale di acquisto - valore di mercato totale attuale) è finalmente e per la prima volta positiva:

Token SEST Acquistati
I token SEST sono i token nativi del gioco di Farming Tales e si ottengono tramite l'operazione di Harvest. Per effettuare l'operazione di Harvest è però necessario avere due elementi consumabili: cibo e acqua. Il cibo e l'acqua rappresentano un costo e sono acquistabili utilizzando i token CBIT (utility tokens)
I token CBIT possono essere acquistati ma possono essere anche prodotti in modo gratuito mediante l'operaione di stacking dei token SEST. I token SEST messi in stake procucono giornalmente un quantitativo di token CBIT.
Per rendere la fattoria di OneUp CArtel autosufficiente in grado di effettuare le operazioni di Harvest senza dover acquistare ciclicamente i token CBIT dai mercati esterni al gioco, ho acquistato 14970 token SEST che ho messo tutti in stake all'interno della sezione Wallet di Farming Tales.
Per acquistare 14970 token SEST ho utilizzato l'exchange Alchor (https://wax.alcor.exchange/) e ho speso in totale 195 WAX (30 gennaio 2022).
Il valore delle ricompense
Per acquistare il Greenhouse ho utilizzato parte delle ricompense ottenute fino ad ora. Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere il valore totale dei token SEST e dei token CBIT di proprietà di OneUp Cartel.
Se sottraggo il valore dell'acquisto dei 14970 token SEST effettuato il 30 gennaio 2022 ottengo il valore delle ricompense di gioco ricevute e non reinvestite che è di 31.93$
Anche se ho utilizzato poco più di 1600 token SEST per coprire parte del costo del Greenhouse, il totale dei token SEST in stacked (acquistati + ricevuti come ricompensa) di OneUp Cartel sono aumentati in una settimana di 1035 unità.
Questo quantitativo di token SEST garantisce al momento una ricompensa giornaliera di 8.27 token CBIT = 0.316$ al giorno
Dal mio ultimo report e in sette giorni il valore della ricompense giornaliera in token CBIT è aumentato di +0.232 CBIT (8.272 - 8.040).
Profit e ROI
E' arrivato il momento di fare un pò di calcoli e di confrontare costi e ricavi.
Ho creato un prospetto per mostrare e per monitorare i risultati finanziari dell'investimento su Farming Tales che gestisco per conto di OneUp Cartel. Dopo 4 report in cui ho sempre registrato un risultato negativo finalmente il colore verde colora il mio prospetto.
I risultati finanziari sono positivi e un ROI del +18.62% in 32 giorni è un risultato molto buono:
- **Profit: + 341.26 WAX = + 106.81$

Considerazioni Finali
L'investimento su Farming Tales da parte di OneUp Cartel ha raggiunto i 32 giorni effettivi di attività e per la prima volta ho registrato un risultato finanziario non solo positivo ma molto positivo soprattutto considerando i pochi giorni per raggiungere questso risultato.
Nei quattro precedenti report avevo registrato risultati negativi ma non mi ero mai preoccupato perchè ho sempre considerato quei risultati negativi solo temporanei.
Non ho purtroppo la capacità di prevedere il futuro ma ho visto del potenziale in Farming Tales e continuo a vederlo.
Dopo che avrò effettuato il primo Harvest dall'NFT Garden farò un pò di calcoli e valutazioni e deciderò come procedere. Con molta probabilità venderò alcune carte di tipo Seed per ottenere token WAX da reinvestire per ampliare la produzione della fattoria.
