Blockchain-based games are one of my many passions, and today, after 14 days since my last post on Farming Tales, I return to write about this game to update my readers on the Farming Tales news and updates and to share my gaming/investment activity related to the Cartel project that assigned me to manage its Farming Tales investment.
Before covering the main topics of this post I begin as per my usual with a short introduction about the Farming Tales game for those of my readers who are not familiar with this project.
What is Farming Tales?
(Brief Introduction)
**Farming Tales is an NFT-based farming simulator built and developed on the WAX blockchain. I decided to start playing and investing in Farming Tales because I saw peculiarities in this game that many other blockchain-based farming games don't have:

Farming Tales has beautiful graphics and uses a 3D graphics engine.

Farming Tales has some NFT that are linked to real goods from real farms** (saffron, honey,...).
Another point in favor of Farming Tales over other farming games is that it chose my beloved Hive to:

In addition, Farming Tales' roadmap also includes a future goal to integrate on Hive blockchain (Q3 - 2022).
Farming Tales News
June 9 - June 22, 2022
Below I show you all the news and updates regarding Farming Tales that occurred between June 9, 2022 and today June 22, 2022 following a chronological order.
On June 10, 2022, the sale of the second type of NFT Pet: Cats ended. The sale price was 30000 token SEST and the sale lasted only a few minutes because all 206 NFT Cats available for purchase were sold.
Those who want to buy an NFT Cat today can do so from markets outside the game such as AtomichHub and Neftyblocks and the lowest price on the market is 409 WAX = $37.06.
The **game statistics of the NFT Cat are as follows:
- Cost: 30000 SESTs;
- Production time: 7 days;
- Reward: 1300 SESTs;
- Consumption**: 45 WATER = 45 CBITs.

WAX, SEST and CBIT Market Value Considerations
In blockchain-based farming games, it is always important to do the proper calculations before purchasing a token and NFT, and it is also important to monitor the value of the tokens connected to the game.
In the image below you can see the current value of the WAX token, which is the blockchain token on which Farming Tales runs, and the current values of the Farming Tales tokens (SEST and CBIT) and the comparison between the values of the various tokens. The value comparison is for the time interval: June 9, 2022 - June 22, 2022.
On June 9, the WAX token had recovered in value against the dollar while today, after 13 days, it shows a decrease in value of -28.11%. The SEST token gains a +6.51% over the WAX token and a +23.89% over the CBIT token but loses value against the dollar: -23.43%. The CBIT token had shown a good increase in value against both the dollar and the SEST token in my previous three reports but today even the CBIT token is lower in value against the dollar and compared to 13 days ago.
I keep track of the trend of these values because comparing the values of the various tokens (WAX, CBIT, and SEST) in a given time interval can be useful for trading between the tokens by taking advantage of their fluctuations ;)
Cartel Investment Update: Report #18
My gaming/investment activity on Farming Tales is double because I play **two roles:
- I am a simple player who has decided to invest in the purchase of NFT and tokens
- I am a operator of the Cartel project of the beautiful community called OneUp**.
Cartel is: - a Meta Gaming Guild - a Meta Curation - a Meta Dividend Token
Before showing the financial results of my Cartel farm management activity I want to open a small parenthesis on CARTEL tokens. In fact in addition to being an operator of the Cartel project I am also a holder of CARTEL tokens which are second level tokens of the Hive blockchain.
I have 32.93 CARTEL tokens in my wallet whose current value is: 152.344$

The Cartel project is a young project because it has been in existence for only 6 months but it has already started distributing the first rewards to CARTEL token holders and on June 20 I received 0.596 VOUCHER tokens = 0.9071 HIVE.
Regarding OneUp Cartel's investment on Farming Tales, my management started on January 29, 2022 and today, June 22, 2022, 144 days have passed.
**OneUp Cartel invested in the Farming Tales project in two successive times:
- First investment: 500 HBD (January 29, 2022)
- Second investment: 250 WAX** (March 1, 2022)
From the conversion of HBD tokens to WAX tokens, I obtained 1583 WAX tokens, which when added to the second investment of 250 WAX produced a total of 1833 WAX tokens.
1833 WAX tokens is therefore the total amount of tokens I had available to invest in Farming Tales.
I used the 1833 WAX tokens in the following ways:

VALUE ASSETS + REWARDS
The value of the NFT collection of the Cartel project
In the table below you can see the list of NFTs owned by OneUp Cartel with an indication:

of the difference between purchase price and current market value for each NFT purchased.
To calculate the value of the card collection I consider the lowest market sale value at the time I write my report and for this reason it is to be considered an estimated value. In the last 13 days I have been tranding operations on NFTs and that is why the composition of Cartel's NFT collection has changed since my previous report (June 9) and will change again in the next report because I will be doing blending operations to turn rare animals into epic and legendary animals.
Compared to 13 days ago, some NFTs have gained value such as the NFT Green House which went from a value of 377 WAX to a value of 620 WAX. The NFT Stable recovered value while the NFT Vegetable Garden lost value.
As in the previous report, the difference between the total acquisition cost (in WAX) and the total market value of the NFT collection is a negative value but it is improving value from the previous report:

The value of CBIT and SEST tokens accumulated and not reinvested
Profit and ROI
In the following image you can see the prospectus I created to concisely and immediately monitor the investment on Farming Tales that I manage for the Cartel project.
In the prospectus the total initial investment cost is the total amount of WAX tokens I had available to invest: 1833 WAX.
Considering the investment in terms of WAX tokens, the financial results (Profit and ROI) are positive are positive and improved mainly due to the sale and purchase trades of NFTs.
Profit: +272.34 WAX = +14.86$ (Previous profit report: +62.36 WAX = +7.71$) ROI: +14.86% (ROI previous report: +3.40%)
I invested a total of 1833 tokens WAX and got a total investment value (Assets + Rewards) of 2105.34 WAX so far: +272.34 WAX.
In a blockchain investment, however, one must also take into account the value of the assets used to purchase the tokens of the project at the time the tokens are invested. For this reason if I take as starting point the dollar value of the initial investment the results are not positive but negative.
In the following image you can see the prospectus I created to track two financial results that take into account:

the value of the 500 HBD and 250 WAX at the time of their use

the current value of Cartel's investment in WAX tokens and in dollars.
The data in the above prospectus are important because they permit to calculate **the value that the WAX token will have to reach the breakeven point. Calculating the breakeven point is important in any investment because it is the point that allows:
- to have the possibility to exit an investment at 0 cost.
- to plan an increase in investment or a decrease in investment exposure**.
Achieving the break-even point is closely linked to the value of the WAX token. When Cartel decided to invest in Farming Tales 1 WAX token was worth $0.28 while today it is worth $0.088.
Based on the financial results I recorded today, the break-even point can be reached with a WAX token value equal to 0.2314$
If today the WAX token had the value it had when Cartel's investment in Farming Tales began, the profit would have been $102.5 with an ROI of +21.05%
The positive data I recorded today is that 13 days ago the break-even point was achievable with a WAX token value equal to $0.2570 while today a value of $0.2314 would have been sufficient.
My investment plan on Farming Tales (Update)
For the past 13 days I have been trading NFTs:
- I sold two Cow legendary NFTs
- I purchased 4 rare NFTs:
- 2 NFT Black Sheep
- 2 NFT Brown Cow
On these 4 rare NFTs I will make blendig operations to get 1 Epic type animal and 1 legendary type animal.
Over the next few days I will continue to do NFT sale and purchase operations and continue to accumulate game rewards through harvest operations.
My goal that I hope to achieve in the short term (4-5 months) is to transform Farming Tales from a play 2 earn to a free to play. To achieve this goal I need to accumulate an amount of liquid WAX equal to the initial investment (1833 WAX) while at the same time trying to maintain or increase the production of SEST and CBIT tokens. Right now the amount of liquid WAX in Cartel's wallet is 500 WAX. To carry out the blending operations I will spend 44 WAX and thus the amount of liquid WAX will drop to 456 liquid WAX which corresponds to achieving 24% of my short-term goal.
I will conclude with some personal thoughts
The current value of the WAX tokens as well as the value of the HIVE tokens doesn't worry me because in my opinion they are the two blockchains that have the most potential as far as blockchain-based game development is concerned because they are both two DPOS blockchains and most importantly they both have no transaction costs and for an NFT-based game this is a great added value.
I believe that the value of projects created on Hive and Wax will push up the values of HIVE and WAX tokens when the current Bear Market phase is over (this is not financial advice but my personal opinion).

I giochi basati su blockchain sono una delle mie tante passioni e oggi, dopo 14 giorni dal mio ultimo post su Farming Tales, torno a scrivere su questo gioco per aggiornarnare i miei lettori sulle novità e gli aggiornamenti di Farming Tales avvenuti nelle ultime due settimane e per condividere la mia attività di gioco/investimento relativa alla fattoria del progetto Cartel che mi ha affidato la gestione del suo investimento su Farming Tales.
Prima di trattare gli argomenti principali di questo posto inizio come da mia consuetudine consolidata con una breve introduzione sul gioco di Farming Tales per chi dei miei lettori conosce questo progetto.
Cos'è Farming Tales?

9 giugno - 22 giugno 2022
Di seguito ti mostro tutte le novità e gli aggiornamenti che riguardano Farming Tales avvenuti nel periodo tra il 9 giugno 2022 e oggi 22 giugno 2022 seguendo un ordine cronologico.
Il 10 giugno 2022 è terminata la vendita della seconda tipologia di NFT Pet: gli NFT Cat. Il prezzo di vendita era di 30000 token SEST e la vendita è durata pochi minuti perchè sono stati venduti tutti e 206 gli NFT Cat disponibili all'acquisto.
Chi oggi vuole comprare un NFT Cat lo può fare dai mercati esterni al gioco come AtomichHub e Neftyblocks e il prezzo più basso sul mercato è di 409 WAX = 37.06$.

WAX, SEST and CBIT Market Value Considerations
Nei giochi di farming basati su blockchain è sempre importante fare i dovuti calcoli prima di effettuare l'acquisto di un token e di un NFT ed è anche importante monitorare il valore dei token collegati al gioco.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il valore attuale del token WAX che è il token della blockchain su cui funziona Farming Tales e i valori attuali dei token di Farming Tales (SEST e CBIT) e la differenza di valore rispetto al dollaro e rispetto ai vari token. Il confronto tra i valori è relativo all'intervallo di tempo: 9 giugno 2022 - 22 giugno 2022.
Il 9 giugno il token WAX aveva recuperato valore rispetto al dollaro mentre oggi, dopo 13 giorni, fa registrare una diminuzione di valore del -28.11%. Il token SEST guadagna un +6.51% sul token WAX e un +23.89% sul token CBIT ma perde valore rispetto al dollaro: -23.43%. Il token CBIT aveva fatto registrare un buon incremento di valore rispetto sia al dollaro che al token SEST nei miei tre precedenti report ma oggi anche il token CBIT ha un valore più basso rispetto al dollaro e rispetto a 13 giorni fa.
Tengo traccia dell'andamento di questi valori perchè il confronto tra i valori dei vari token (WAX, CBIT e SEST) in un determinato intervallo di tempo può essere utile per fare operazioni di trading tra i token sfruttando le loro oscillazioni ;)
Cartel Investment Update: Report #18
La mia attività di gioco/investimento su Farming Tales è duplice perchè svolgo **due ruoli:
- sono un semplice giocatore che ha deciso di investire nell'acquisto di NFT e tokens
- sono un operatore del progetto Cartel della bellissima comunità della blockchain di Hive che si chiama OneUp**.

Prima di mostrare i risultati finanziari della mia attività di gestione della fattoria di Cartel voglio aprire una piccola parentesi sui token CARTEL. Infatti oltre ad essere un operatore del progetto Cartel sono anche un possessore dei token CARTEL che sono token di secondo livello della blockchain di Hive.

Per quanto riguarda l'investimento di OneUp Cartel su Farming Tales, la mia gestione è iniziata il 29 gennaio 2022 e oggi 22 giugno 2022 sono passati 144 giorni.
**OneUp Cartel ha investito nel progetto di Farming Tales in due momenti successivi:
- Primo investimento: 500 HBD (29 gennaio 2022)
- Secondo investimento: 250 WAX** (1 marzo 2022)
Dalla conversione dei token HBD in token WAX ho ottenuto 1583 token WAX che sommati al secondo investimento di 250 WAX hanno prodotto un totale di 1833 token WAX. 1833 token WAX è quindi il toltale di token che ho avuto a disposizione per investire su Farming Tales.
Ho utilizzato i 1833 token WAX nel seguente modo:

Nella tabella seguente puoi vedere l'elenco degli NFT di proprietà di Cartel con l'indicazione:

Per calcolare il valore della collezione di carte considero il prezzo di vendita più basso sul mercato nel momento in cui scrivo il mio report e per questo motivo questo valore è un valore stimato.
Negli ultimi 13 giorni ho effettuato delle operazioni di tranding sugli NFT e per questo motivo la composizione della collezione degli NFT di Cartel è cambiata rispetto al mio precedente report (9 giugno) e cambierà ancora nel prossimo report perchè farò delle operazioni di blending per trasformare gli animali rari in animali epici e leggendari.
Rispetto a 13 giorni fa alcuni NFT hanno acquistato valore come l'NFT Green House che è passato da un valore di 377 WAX ad un valore di 620 WAX. Hanno recuperato valore gli NFT Stable mentre hanno perso valore gli NFT Vegetable Garden.
Come nel report precedente la differenza tra il costo totale di acquisto (in WAX) e il valore di mercato totale della collezione di NFT è un valore negativo ma è valore in miglioramento rispetto al report precedente:

Il valore dei token CBIT e SEST accumulati e non reinvestiti
Profit e ROI
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il prospetto che ho creato per monitorare in modo sintetico e immediato l'investimento su Farming Tales che gestisto per il progetto Cartel.
Nel prospetto il totale dei costi di investimento iniziale è il quantitativo totale di token WAX che ho avuto a disposizione da investire: 1833 WAX.
Considerando l'investimento in termini di WAX token i risultati finanziari (Profit e ROI) sono positivi e migliorano report dopo report soprattutto grazie alle operazioni di vendita e acquisto degli NFT.
Profit: +272.34 WAX = +24.19$ (Profit report precedente: +62.36 WAX = +7.71$) ROI: +14.86% (ROI report precedente: +3.40%)
Ho investito un totale di 1833 token WAX e ho ottenuto fino ad ora un valore totale dell'investimento (Assets + Rewards) di 2105.34 WAX: +272.34 WAX.
In un investimento blockchain però bisogna tenere conto anche del valore degli assets utilizzati per acquistare i token del progetto nel momento in cui si investono i token. Per questo motivo se prendo come punto di partenza il valore in dollari dell'investimento iniziale i risultati non sono positivi ma negativi.
Nell'immagine seguente puoi vedere il prospetto che ho creato per tenere traccia di due risultati finanziari che tengono conto:

del valore dei 500 HBD e dei 250 WAX (investimenti iniziali) al momento del loro utilizzo

il valore attuale dell'investimento di Cartel in token WAX e in dollari.
I dati nel prospetto precedente sono importanti perchè permettono di calcolare **il valore che dovrà avere il token WAX per raggiungere il punto di pareggio. Calcolare il punto di pareggio è importante in ogni investimento perchè è il punto che permette:
- di avere la possibilità di uscire da un investimento a costo 0
- di pianificare un aumento dell'investimento o una diminuzione dell'esposizione dell'investimento**.
Il raggiungimento del punto di pareggio è strettamente collegato al valore del token WAX. Quando Cartel ha deciso di investire su Farming Tales 1 token WAX valeva 0.28$ mentre oggi vale 0.088$.
In base ai risultati finanziari che ho registrato oggi, il punto di pareggio è raggiungibile con un valore del token WAX uguale a 0.2314$
Se oggi il token WAX avesse avuto il valore che aveva quando è iniziato l'investimento di Cartel su Farming Tales il profitto sarebbe stato di 102.5$ con un ROI del +21.05%
Il dato positivo che ho registrato oggi è che 13 giorni fa il punto di pareggio era raggiungibile con un valore dei token WAX uguale a 0.2570$ mentre oggi sarebbe stato sufficiente un valore di 0.2314$.
Il mio piano di investimento su Farming Tales (Update)
Negli ultimi 13 giorni ho effettuato delle operazioni di trading sugli NFT:
- ho venduto due NFT leggendari Cow
- ho acquistato 4 NFT rari:
- 2 NFT Black Sheep
- 2 NFT Brown Cow
Su questi 4 NFT rari effettuerò delle operazioni di blendig per ottenere 1 animale di tipo Epico e 1 animale di tipo leggendario.
Nei prossimi giorni continuerò a fare operazioni di vendita e acquisto di NFT e continuerò ad accumulare le ricompense di gioco tramite le operazioni di harvest.
Il mio obiettivo che spero di raggiungere nel breve termine (4-5 mesi) è di trasformare Farming Tales da un play 2 earn ad un free to play. Per raggiungere questo obiettivo devo accumulare un quantitativo di WAX liquidi uguale all'investimento iniziale (1833 WAX) cercando allo stesso tempo di mantenere o aumentare la produzione di token SEST e CBIT. In questo momento il quantitativo di WAX liquidi nel wallet di Cartel è di 500 WAX. Per effettuare le operazioni di blending spenderò 44 WAX e quindi il quantitativo di WAX liquidi scenderà a 456 WAX liquidi che corrispondono al raggiungimento del 24% del mio obiettivo di breve termine.
Il valore attuale dei token WAX come anche il valore dei token HIVE non mi preoccupa perchè secondo me sono le due blockchain che hanno il maggior potenziale per quanto riguarda lo sviluppo dei giochi basati su blockchain perchè sono entrambe due blockchain DPOS e soprattutto entrambe non hanno costi di transazione e per un gioco basato su NFT questo è un grande valore aggiunto.
Credo che il valore dei progetti creati su Hive e Wax spingerà verso l'alto i valori dei token HIVE e WAX quando la fase Bear Market attuale sarà terminata (non è un consiglio finanziario ma la mia personale opinione).
