My Chaos Legion Investment: 747 packs bought, 161 packs opened + My next investment goals / 747 pacchi comprati, 161 pacchi aperti + I miei prossimi obiettivi (ENG/ITA)

On January 17, 2022, the General Sale of Chaos Legion card packs began. Less than 3 hours into the general sale the Chaos Legion card packs sold were 2176860 (source: Splintercards).
Yesterday, January 20, 2022, the packs of cards sold are 6591218.
In 3 days 4414358 packs of cards were sold, which means that in 72 hours 29% of the total Chaos Legion packs were sold (maximum supply: 15 million packs). The beginning of the General Sale was undoubtedly a success.
I also participated in the general sale and in this post I want to share my purchases, my thoughts and my upcoming investment goals on Splinterlands. I initially set a purchase goal of 500 packs of cards, then increased that number and eventually bought 747 packs of Chaso Legion cards.
To purchase most of the card packs I used my curation account libertygame27, an account I use to upvote posts that have splinterlands and spt tags. With libertygame27 I bought 620 packs of cards (500 + 120) and spent in total: 2480000 Credits = 2480$
On the purchase of 500 packs of cards I received 75 bonus packs and used 75 VOUCHER tokens On the purchase of 120 packs of cards I received 12 bonus packs and used 12 VOUCHER tokens
Using my curation account allowed me to get 5% of the purchase made by libertygame27: 124000 Credits which I immediately reinvested to buy more card packs.
I had more credits available and with 160000 credits I bought 40 packs of cards also with my main account: libertycrypto27.
So doing some math:
- I have purchased **660 packs of cards
- I have used 82 VOUCHER tokens.
- I got 82 bonus packs**
I got a total of 747 packs of cards.
The value of the VOUCHER tokens at the time of purchase was $2.90 per token.
To get 747 packs of Chaos Legion cards I spent a total of $2877.80 (pack purchase cost + VOUCHER token purchase cost)
Estimated value of a pack of Chaos Legion cards
When I made my purchase (January 17, 2022) the estimated value of a pack of Chaos Legion cards was $5.39. In the case of buying and opening a pack of cards using both potions the estimated profit was +0.94$ per pack.
Today the estimated value of a pack of cards has decreased and is:
- **4.06$ based on the site's calculations: https://www.splintercards.com/ (using both potions)
- 4,248$ according to the calculations of https://peakmonsters.com/packs (use of both potions)
Based on the current estimated value, buying a pack of Chaos Legion cards from the Splinterlands Shop and opening it using both potions produces a negative estimated profit, albeit small: -$0.39.
This negative value is due to the loss of value of Chaos Legion card packs on Hive Engine/TribalDex.
In fact, on Hive Engine a Chaos Legion card pack has a lower purchase cost than on Shop in Splinterlands: 3.17$
Due to the lower price, buying a pack of Chaos Legion cards from Hive Engine and opening it using both potions yields a positive estimated profit: +$0.44.
Buying a pack of cards from the Splinterlands website allows you to participate in airdrops, while buying a pack of cards from Hive Engine does not allow you to participate in airdrops. For this reason buying a pack of cards from Hive Engine is convenient only if the price is much lower than the price in the Shop of Splinterlands website and at this moment it is the best choice considering the short period.
I bought more than 700 packs of Chaos Legion cards also because I would have had the opportunity to participate in 11 airdrops and I would have been guaranteed to receive two guaranteed cards from each airdrop and indeed it was so.
Today I made the claim of 3 airdrops.
I received 2 legendary cards for each airdrop:

2 Lira The Dark cards.

2 Iza The Fanged cards

2 Grum Flameblade cards
With 747 packs of cards in my possession I had:
- a guarantee to receive 2 cards for each airdrop
- a 13% probability of receiving a third card for each airdrop (47*0.2857%)
- an 8% probability of receiving a gold card from each airdrop.
I wasn't very lucky but I hope to be in the next airdrops.
So far I have opened 161 packs of cards and I have bought only 500 alchemical potions and 500 legendary potions because I already had some usable potions because I got them at 0 cost from the daily quests and seasonal rewards. To purchase the potions I spent a total of $45.
Opening 161 packs of cards allowed me to add 805 cards to my card collection and allowed me to increase my Power score by 37415 points. The total value of the cards I found in the card packs is 849$ based on market prices.
Thanks to the multiple purchase bonuses, I spent an average of $3.85 per card pack not including the cost of buying potions.
If I add the cost of potions. to open 161 packs of cards I spent a total of 664.85$:
- 619.85$: total purchase cost (3.85$ * 161 packs)
- 45$: cost 1000 potions (500 alchemical + 500 legendary)
I'm happy with the cards I found in the 161 packs I opened and in fact made a good profit: +$185.09 (ROI: 27.84%).
I was definitely lucky because I found a legendary card in gold version: Queen Mycelia. The market value of Queen Mycelia Gold is $397.

Without Queen Mycelia (Gold version) I would have gotten a loss but I would have still considered it temporary because with my purchase I will have a number of advantages:

Additionally from the future 8 airdrops I will receive a minimum of 16 epic/legendary cards.
The next packs I open will have a higher cost per pack because I will have to buy 5 alchemical potions and 5 legendary potions before opening each pack but I hope to continue to have the same degree of luck.

My next investment goals on Splinterlands
* With the purchase of 747 packs of Chaos Legion cards on the first day of the General Sale, I reached my first Splinterlands-related goal of the year. I have decided to open all of the card packs I have purchased and will do so without waiting too long. The alternative is to store the packs and not open them to wait until all the packs are sold and their price goes up on the external markets. I could have chosen this strategy but it is not the path I chose to follow.
I want to have a competitive deck and I want to exceed the power score of 500000 points. I am not going to buy additional packs of cards but will continue to invest by making targeted purchases in the market. I will optimize my card collection by selling cards that are not very useful in battle and buying cards that are useful in battle. I will also try to invest in the purchase of token SPS that now have a very low price because I am convinced that in the future will regain value with the introduction of new use cases announced by Splinterlands.
So far I have accumulated 19228 SPS tokens and my goal is to get to at least 50000 SPS tokens before Splinterlands of the Lands is introduced into the game.

Chaos Legion: 747 pacchi comprati, 161 pacchi aperti + I miei prossimi obiettivi
Il 17 gennaio 2022 è iniziata la General Sale dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion. A meno di 3 ore dall'inizio della general sale i pacchi di carte Chaos Legion venduti erano 2176860 (fonte: Splintercards).
Ieri 20 gennaio 2022 i pacchi di carte venduti sono 6591218
In 3 giorni sono stati venduti 4414358 pacchi di carte e questo significa che in 72 ore è stato venduto il 29% del totale dei pacchi Chaos Legion (fornitura massima: 15 milioni di pacchi). L'inizio della General Sale è stato indubbiamente un successo.
Anche io ho partecipato alla general sale e in questo post voglio condividere i miei acquisti, le mie considerazioni e i miei prossimi obiettivi di investimento su Splinterlands. Inizialmente avevo fissato un obiettivo di acquisto di 500 pacchi di carte, poi ho incrementato questo numero e alla fine ho comprato 747 pacchi di carte Chaso Legion.
Per acquistare la maggior parte dei pacchi di carte ho utilizzato il mio curation account libertygame27, account che uso per votare i post che hanno i tag splinterlands e spt. Con libertygame27 ho acquistato 620 pacchi di carte (500 + 120) e ho speso in totale: 2480000 Crediti = 2480$
Sull'acquisto di 500 pacchi di carte ho ricevuto 75 pacchi bonus e ho utilizzato 75 token VOUCHER Sull'acquisto di 120 pacchi di carte ho ricevuto 12 pacchi bonus e ho utilizzato 12 token VOUCHER
Utilizzare il mio curation account mi ha permesso di ottenere il 5% dell'acquisto effettuato da libertygame27: 124000 Crediti che ho subito reinvestito per comprare altri pacchi di carte.
Avevo altri crediti disponibili e con 160000 crediti ho acquistato 40 pacchi di carte anche con il mio account principale: libertycrypto27.
Quindi facendo un pò di conti:
- ho acquistato **660 pacchi di carte
- ho utilizzato 82 token VOUCHER
- ho ottenuto 82 pacchi bonus**
Ho ottenuto in totale 747 pacchi di carte.
Il valore dei token VOUCHER al momento dell'acquisto era di 2.90$ per ogni token.
Per avere 747 pacchi di carte Chaos Legion ho speso in totale 2877.80$ (costo acquisto pacchi + costo acquisto token VOUCHER)
Valore Stimato di un pacco di carte Chaos Legion
Quando ho effettuato il mio acquisto (17 gennaio 2022) il valore stimato di un pacco di carte Chaos Legion era di 5.39$. Nel caso di acquisto e apertura di un pacco di carte utilizzando entrambe le pozioni il profitto stimato era di +0.94$ per ogni pacco.
Oggi il valore stimato di un pacco di carte è diminuito ed è di:
- **4.06$ in base ai calcoli del sito: https://www.splintercards.com/ (utilizzo di entrambe le pozioni)
- 4.248$** in base ai calcoli del sito https://peakmonsters.com/packs (utilizzo di entrambe le pozioni)
In base al valore stimato attuale comprare un pacco di carte Chaos Legion dallo Shop di Splinterlands e aprirlo utilizzando entrambe le pozioni produce un profitto stimato negativo anche se piccolo: -0.39$.
Questo valore negativo è dovuto alla perdita di valore dei pacchi di carte Chaos Legion su Hive Engine/TribalDex
Infatti su Hive Engine un pacco di carte Chaos Legion ha un costo di acquisto inferiore rispetto alla Shop di Splinterlands: 3.17$
Grazie al prezzo inferiore acquistare un pacco di carte Chaos Legion da Hive Engine e aprirlo utilizzando entrambe le pozioni produce un profitto stimato positivo: +0.44$.
Comprare un pacco di carte dal sito di Splinterlands permette di partecipare agli airdrop mentre comprare un pacco di carte da Hive Engine non permette di partecipare agli airdrop. Per questo motivo comprare un pacco di carte da Hive Engine è conveniente solo se il prezzo è molto inferiore rispetto al prezzo presente nello Shop del sito di Splinterlands e in questo momento è la scelta migliore considerando il breve periodo.
Ho acquistato più di 700 pacchi di carte Chaos Legion anche perchè avrei avuto la possibilità di partecipare a 11 airdrop e avrei avuto la garanzia di ricevere due carte garantite da ogni airdrop e infatti così è stato.
Oggi ho effettuato il claim di 3 airdrop.
Ho ricevuto **2 carte leggendarie per ogni airdrop:

Con 747 pacchi di carte in mio possesso avevo:
- la garanzia di ricevere 2 carte per ogni airdrop
- una probabilità del 13% di ricevere una terza carta per ogni airdrop (47*0.2857%)
- l'8% di probabilità di ricevere una carta in versione gold da ogni airdrop.
Non sono stato molto fortunato ma spero di esserlo nei prossimi airdrop.
Fino ad ora ho aperto 161 pacchi di carte e ho acquistato solo 500 pozioni alchemiche e 500 pozioni leggendarie perchè avevo già delle pozioni utilizzabili perchè ottenute a costo 0 dal completamento delle missioni giornaliere e dalle ricompense stagionali. Per acquistare le pozioni ho speso in totale 45$.
Aprire 161 pacchi di carte mi ha permesso di aggiungere 805 carte alla mia collezione di carte e mi ha permesso di aumentare il mio punteggio Power di 37415 punti. Il valore totale delle carte che ho trovato nei pacchi di carte è di 849$ in base ai prezzi di mercato.
Grazie ai bonus per gli acquisti multipli ho speso per ogni pacco di carte 3.85$ senza considerare il costo di acquisto delle pozioni.
Se aggiungo il costo delle pozioni. per aprire 161 pacchi di carte ho speso in totale 664.85$:
- 619.85$: costo totale di acquisto (3.85$ * 161 packs)
- 45$: costo 1000 pozioni (500 alchemiche + 500 leggendarie)
Sono soddisfatto delle carte che ho trovato nei 161 pacchi di carte che ho aperto e infatti ho ottenuto un buon profitto: +185.09$ (ROI: 27.84%).
Sono stato decisamente fortunato perchè ho trovato un carta leggendaria in versione gold: Queen Mycelia. Il valore di mercato di Queen Mycelia Gold è di 397$.
Nelle due immagini seguenti puoi vedere le carte leggendarie e le carte in versione Gold che ho trovato nei 161 pacchi aperti
Senza Queen Mycelia (versione Gold) avrei ottenuto una perdita che però avrei comunque considerato temporanea perchè con il mio acquisto avrò una serie di vantaggi:

I prossimi pacchi che aprirò avranno un costo per pacco maggiore perchè dovrò comprare 5 pozioni alchemiche e 5 pozioni leggendarie prima di aprire ogni pacco ma spero di continuare ad avere lo stesso grado di fortuna. **
I miei prossimi obiettivi di investimento su Splinterlands
* Con l'acquisto di 747 pacchi di carte Chaos Legion nel primo giorno della General Sale ho raggiunto il mio primo obiettivo dell'anno relativo a Splinterlands. Ho deciso di aprire tutti i pacchi di carte che ho comprato e lo farò senza aspettare troppo tempo. L'alternativa è di conservare i pacchi e non aprirli per aspettare che tutti i pacchi siano venduti e che il loro prezzo salga sui mercati esterni. Potevo scegliere questa strategia ma non è la strada che ho scelto di seguire.
Voglio avere un mazzo di carte competitivo e voglio superare il punteggio power di 500000 punti. Non ho intenzione di comprare ulteriori pacchi di carte ma continuerò ad investire facendo acquisti mirati sul mercato. Ottimizzerò la mia collezione di carte vendendo le carte poco utili in battaglia e acquistando le carte utili in battaglia. Inoltre cercherò di investire nell'acquisto dei token SPS che adesso hanno un prezzo molto basso perchè sono convinto che in futuro riacquisteranno valore con l'introduzione dei nuovi casi d'uso annunciati da Splinterlands.
Ovviamente i miei obiettivi di acquisto e le mie valutazioni sono strettamente personali e non sono assolutamente un consiglio finanziario.
