Project Blank (Leofinance New UI): a Big Step Forward for Onboarding Web 2.0 Users on Hive in a User Friendly Way! + My LEO Power UP (ENG/ITA)

Project Blank (Leofinance New UI): a big step forward for onboarding Web 2.0 users on Hive in a user friendly way!

Hive is a blockchain DPOS (Delegate Proof Of Stake) where lives a beautiful ecosystem of sites, apps, and communities that is continuously evolving.

One of the most beautiful aspects that made me fall in love with Hive is the continuous development and dynamism that characterizes the entire Hive ecosystem: developers, users, communities.

I have been on Hive for just over four years and in that time and on any day I have always found at least one interesting post to read or one interesting project to evaluate each day.

In today's post I share with my readers all my appreciation on the great work that Leofinance and its development team is doing and in particular on the new User Interface which, although in Open Alpha version, already has a good level of user-friendliness in my opinion and will be very useful for onboarding users from web 2.0 to the Hive blockchain.

Why the new UI will be very useful for onboarding new users to Hive!

Twitter has millions of active users who post content every day.

A Twitter user or web 2.0 user in general who is unfamiliar with the world of blockchains will definitely encounter some initial difficulties when coming to Hive because he has to learn how to manage a wallet, he has to learn how to use a new front end to post content, and he has to learn some new concepts and mechanisms such as staking, upvote, ....

A Web 2.0 user entering Hive via the new Leofinance UI will already find an interface very familiar to him because it is very similar to Twitter.

A new user **will be able with great ease:

post his first content (Thread**)
interact with other Leofinance users.

Creating a thread (message similar to a Tweet but posted on Hive) from the new UI is a very simple operation that requires only three simple steps.

After you **login to https://alpha.leofinance.io/threads:

You need to write your Thread (max. 240 characters).

Then you need to click on Thread

Then you need to click on Confirm in the Hive Keychain** screen.

A new user can then begin to learn about the beautiful Hive ecosystem through Leofinace by becoming an active user early on through micro-blogging and can later and unhurriedly learn about and use all the other many features that Hive offers such as the ability to create a post with many more characters available or the ability to play a Hive-based game.

I have been on Hive for four years and there have been other projects that have tried to simplify and incentivize micro-blogging on Hive but none so far have been very successful.

In my opinion Project Blank will be successful because it birthed from a brilliant idea that no one had tried before: memorizing micro-blogging content on the Hive blockchain through comments and not through posts.

The user who creates and posts a Thread from the new UI interacts on a Twitter-like interface and does not see what's behind it (a post published by @leothreads with lots of comments under the post) which can be more complicated for a new user and especially would be more difficult to navigate.

Leofinance has already created one of the easiest registration methods for Hive for a user coming from Web 2.0 because they can use their Twitter or Facebook account.

At the moment the new UI only provides Login functionality via Hive Keychain but when it also has the functionality of creating a new Hive account, access to Hive by a web 2.0 user will be very easy indeed!

The development of the new UI is progressing as well as the addition of new features.

Seven days ago the ability to create Pools in Threads was added.

Blockchain-based games are one of my passions and today I created and posted my first Poll in a thread where I asked, "Which Hive-based skill game under development is most likely to succeed in the future among PsyberX, Genesis League Goals, Splinterlands Tower Defense and Muterra?"!

Thanks to Leofinance microblogging on Hive finally has a home and I see a lot of potential in this project! Thanks to Leofinance and the new UI the onboarding of new users on Hive can increase a lot!

LPUD and my LEO Power Up!

Today is the third LEO Power UP Day of the year 2023 (LPUD) and I am gladly participating in this nice initiative because I want to increase my LEO Power and because I have set medium to long-term accumulation and staking goals for LEO tokens.

Participating in LEO Power Up Days also allows you to participate in the drawing of interesting prizes.

In the screenshot below you can see the prizes for the third LPUD of the year.

In the previous LPUD I had done a LEO Power Up of 240,442 LEO. Today I did the Power Up of all my liquid LEOs (217.82 LEOs) from the Wallet section of https://leofinance.io/.

Thanks to this LEO Power Up of mine, I reached a LEO Power of 3161.88 LP and I am very happy to have crossed the 3K LP threshold.

With 3161 LP I still have New Born CUB status in the Leoverse but have taken one more step toward CUB status. I am just over 63% of the way to becoming a CUB.

Instead, I completed 48.63% of my path to my annual goal: 6500 Leo Power.

At the time I am publishing this post, there are about 5 hours until the end of the third LPUD of the year 2023.

If, like me, you have set goals for growth within the Leofinance community, I suggest you participate in the fine initiative of the LPUD as well! ;)

Project Blank (Leofinance New UI): un grande passo avanti per l'onboarding di utenti web 2.0 su Hive in un modo user friendly!

Hive è una blockchain DPOS (Delegate Proof Of Stake) dove vive un bellissimo ecosistema di siti, apps e comunità che è in continua evoluzione.

Uno degli aspetti più belli che mi ha fatto innamorare di Hive è il continuo sviluppo e il dinamismo che contraddistingue tutto l'ecosistema di Hive: sviluppatori, utenti, comunità. Sono su Hive da poco più di quattro anni e fino ad ora non c'è stato un giorno in cui non ho trovato un interessante post da leggere o un progetto interessante da valutare.

Nel post di oggi condivido con i miei lettori tutto il mio apprezzamento sul grande lavoro che sta facendo Leofinance e il suo team di sviluppo e in particolare sulla nuova User Interface che, anche se in versione Open Alpha, ha già un buon livello di user-friendliness secondo me e sarà molto utile per l'onboarding di utenti dal web 2.0 alla blockchain di Hive.

Perchè la nuova UI sarà molto utile per l'onboarding di nuovi utenti su Hive!

Twitter ha milioni di utenti attivi che postano contenuti ogni giorno.

Un utente di Twitter o in generale del web 2.0 che non conosce il mondo delle blockchains incontrerà sicuramente alcune difficoltà iniziali nel momento in cui arriva su Hive perchè deve imparare a gestire un wallet, deve imparare ad utilizzare un nuovo front end per pubblicare contenuti e deve imparare alcuni concetti e meccanismi nuovi come ad esempio staking, upvote, ....

Un utente del web 2.0 che entrerà su Hive tramite la nuova UI di Leofinance troverà già un'interfaccia a lui molto familiare perchè molto simile a Twitter.

Un nuovo utente **potrà con molta facilità:

pubblicare il suo primo contenuto (Thread**)
interagire con gli altri utenti di Leofinance

Creare un thread (messaggio simile ad un Tweet ma pubblicato su Hive) dalla nuova UI è un'operazione molto semplice che richiede solo tre semplici passi.

Dopo aver fatto il **login su https://alpha.leofinance.io/threads:

Devi scrivere il tuo Thread (max. 240 caratteri)

Poi devi cliccare su Thread

Poi devi cliccare su Confirm nella schermata di Hive Keychain**

Un nuovo utente potrà quindi iniziare a conoscere il bellissimo ecosistema di Hive tramite Leofinace diventando fin da subito un utente attivo tramite il micro-blogging e potrà in seguito e senza fretta imparare a conoscere e ad utilizzare tutte le altre tante funzionalità che offre Hive come ad esempio la possibilità di creare un post con molti più caratteri disponibili o la possibilità di giocare ad un Hive-based game.

Sono su Hive da quattro anni e ci sono stati altri progetti che hanno provato a semplificare e incentivare il micro-blogging su Hive ma nessuno fino ad ora ha avuto molto successo.

Secondo me Project Blank avrà successo perchè nasce da una idea geniale che nessuno prima aveva provato: memorizzare i contenuti di micro-blogging sulla blockchain di Hive tramite commenti e non tramite posts.

L'utente che crea e pubblica un Thread dalla nuova UI interagisce su un'interfaccia simile a Twitter e non vede quello che c'è sotto (un post pubblicato da @leothreads con tanti commenti sotto il post) che può essere più complicato per un nuovo utente e soprattutto sarebbe più difficile da navigare.

Leofinance ha già creato uno dei metodi di registrazione per Hive più facili per un utente che proviene dal web 2.0 perchè può utilizzare il suo account Twitter o Facebook.

Al momento la nuova UI prevede solo la funzionalità di Login tramite Hive Keychain ma quando avrà anche la funzionalità di creazione di un nuovo Hive account l'accesso ad Hive da parte di un utente web 2.0 sarà davvero molto semplice!

Lo sviluppo della nuova UI procede bene come l'aggiunta di nuove funzionalità.

Sette giorni fa è stata aggiunta la possibilità di creare i Pools nei Threads.

I giochi basati su blockchain sono una delle mie passioni e oggi ho creato e pubblicato il mio primo Poll in un thread in cui ho chiesto: "Qual'è lo skill game Hive-based in fase di sviluppo che ha più probabilità di avere successo in futuro tra PsyberX, Genesis League Goals, Splinterlands Tower Defense e Muterra?"!

Oggi è il terzo LEO Power UP Day dell'anno 2023 (LPUD) e partecipo con piacere a questa bella iniziativa perchè voglio aumentare il mio LEO Power e perchè ho fissato degli obiettivi di accumulo e di staking di medio-lungo termine per i token LEO.

Nel precedente LPUD avevo fatto un LEO Power Up di 240.442 LEO. Oggi ho fatto il Power Up di tutti i miei LEO liquidi (217.82 LEO) dalla sezione Wallet di https://leofinance.io/.
