Seasonal Card Rentals - Renter Side: Step by Step Guide using Splinterlands and Peakmonsters
One of my favorite aspects of Splinterlands is the continuous development and dynamism in making changes or adding new features to the game.
In the past few months, many changes have been made to the gameplay and reward mechanisms with a focus on improving the player experience.
Seasonal Card Rentals
The introduction of the seasonal rentals feature was a nice addition because it improved the player experience.
Before this change, the player could rent a card for a minimum of 2 days and the only rental possible was a daily rental. Today it is possible to choose between a daily rental and a seasonal rental.
Seasonal rentals solved an issue on the player/renter side. Prior to this change, someone who rented a card for 15 days could have their rental cancelled after 2 days and had to go to the marketplace again to re-rent the same card. This process could become particularly unpleasant if the card owner's cancellation of the rental occurred on the last days of the season when the rewards are greatest and almost all players increase their game activity.
Now the player can rent a card for an entire season without worrying about a possible cancellation before the end of the season because even if the owner cancels the rental in the middle of the season the cancellation of the rental will be applied only after the season ends.
Today I decided to write two step-by-step guides to show how easy it is to take a card rental for an entire season using:

the **Market section of Splinterlands

the Rent section of Peakmonsters**.
How to rent a card for an entire season from the Splinterlands Marketplace
If you want to rent a card for an entire season from the Market section of the Splinterlands website, you need to follow a few simple steps:
**STEP 1:

1: You need to click on MARKET

2: then you need to click on CARD RENTALS

3: then you need to choose as the rental duration: SEASON**
STEP 2:
You need to click on the image of the card you want to rent.
**STEP 3:
A screen will open where:

1: you have to click on the white square in the direction of the card you have chosen.

2: you have to click on RENT** (arrow 2 next image)
**STEP 4:
On the next screen:

1: you need to click on RENT
-
2: you have to confirm your choice by clicking on OK**
How to rent a card for an entire season from the Peakmonsters Rent section
Renting a card for an entire season can also be done using third-party sites. I will now show you how you can perform the same rental operation I showed you earlier from the Rent section of Peakmonsters instead of the Splinterlands site.
**STEP 1:

1: You have to login** to https://peakmonsters.com/ using Hive Keychain

2: you need to click on Rent in the top left menu.
**STEP 2:
-
1: you have to click on SEASON in the Filter** section (right side of the screen)

2: you have to choose the card you want to rent from the list in the middle of the screen and click on the carrel symbol
**STEP 3:
-
1: you have to click on the carrel symbol in the upper right corner as indicated by arrow number 1 in the following image

2: then you need to choose the payment method you want to use (DEC or Credit)

3: then you need to click on CONFIRM within the Hive Keychain** screen.
Splinterlands Card Rentals and Peakmonsters Rent Section
Renting a card from the Card Rentals section of Splinterlands or from the Rent section of Peakmonsters is an easy task to do in either case but Peakmonsters has many more features and many more filters that allow you to speed up the rental process.
In the following image you can see the filters available on Splinterlands.

For example, if you want to rent Pecalor Bandit of level 8 you only need to use two filters (Card Name and Level) to immediately narrow your search and find the card.
If you don't like the rental price, you can also try making a rental offer by clicking on BID
Why rent the cards?
Renting is the inexpensive alternative to buying cards. You can consider renting cards instead of buying them to advance quickly in Splinterlands leagues and earn in-game rewards (SPS tokens and Chests) without investing much. This way you can use the in-game rewards to build an increasingly competitive deck season after season. By doing this you will be able to rent fewer and fewer cards season after season and your rental expense will gradually decrease as time goes on.
When I had few cards in my collection I used rentals often.
Today thanks to those rentals and the in-game rewards I have earned I have built a competitive card collection for Gold leagues and am increasing the battle strength of my card collection to be competitive in Diamond leagues as well.
In order to decide how much to invest in card rentals, I recommend that you study and analyze the estimated value of the in-game rewards you can earn by playing in a specific league. I also recommend that you proceed in stages by increasing the level/cost of rented cards as you advance in leagues.
To find out the estimated value of rewards in SPS tokens for each battle you win, you can use the Reward Pool Statistics tool from Plexx.gg: https://splex.gg/tools/reward_pools
In the following image you can instead see what is possible to find inside the chests and with what probability.

To find out the estimated value of the contents of the chests that can be earned by completing Focus Daily and are obtainable as end-of-season rewards, you can use Plexx.gg's Chest EV by League tool: https://splex.gg/tools/chest
To choose cards to rent to be competitive in a specific league you can look at Decks built by more experienced players (thematic or lineup) using the recent My Decks feature created by Peakmonsters.
Considerazioni Finali
Seasonal rental adds a new feature and new option to rental. Seasonal rental of a card should theoretically be priced lower than daily rental but for now there is not much difference in price between the two types but only because seasonal rental is a recent feature and the number of cards in the seasonal rental market is smaller than the number of cards in the daily rental market.
Recently Splinterlands has introduced fees of 1 DEC or 1 credit for renting and listing a card. Because of these fees the owner-side rental operation of a card requires a different choice and evaluation than the renter but these aspects will be the topic of a future post of mine.

Noleggio stagionale - Lato Renter: Guida passo passo utilizzando Splinterlands e Peakmonsters
Uno degli aspetti che più mi piace di Splinterlands è il continuo sviluppo e il dinamismo nell'apportare modifiche o nell'aggiungere nuove funzionalità al gioco.
Negli ultimi mesi sono state apportate molte modifiche ai meccanismi di gioco e ai meccanismi di ricompensa con una particolare attenzione al miglioramento dell'esperienza del giocatore.
Noleggio Stagionale delle carte
L'introduzione della funzionalità dei noleggi stagionali è stata una bella aggiunta al sistema di noleggio perchè ha migliorato l'esperienza del giocatore.
Prima di questa modifica il giocatore poteva noleggiare una carta per un minimo di 2 giorni e l'unico noleggio possibile era il noleggio giornaliero. Oggi è possibile scegliere tra un noleggio girnaliero e un noleggio stagionale.
I noleggi stagionali hanno risolto una problematica lato giocatore/renter. Prima di questa modifica chi noleggiava una carta per 15 giorni poteva vedersi cancellato il noleggio dopo 2 giorni e doveva nuovamente andare sul mercato per rinoleggiare la stessa carta. Questo processo poteva diventare particolarmente poco piacevole se la cancellazione del noleggio da parte del proprietario della carta avveniva gli ultimi giorni della stagione quando le ricompense sono maggiori e quasi tutti i giocatori incrementano l'attività di gioco.
Adesso il giocatore può noleggiare una carta per un'intera stagione senza preoccuparsi di una possibile cancellazione prima della fine della stagione perchè anche se il proprietrario cancella il noleggio nel mezzo della stagione la cancellazione del noleggio verrà applicata solo dopo la conclusione della stagione.
Oggi ho deciso di scrivere due guide passo passo per mostrare quanto è semplice prendere in noleggio una carta per un intera stagione utilizzando:

la sezione **Market di Splinterlands

la sezione Rent di Peakmonsters**
Come prendere in noleggio una carta dal Market di Splinterlands
Se vuoi noleggiare una carta per un'intera stagione dalla sezione Market del sito di Splinterlands devi seguire pochi e semplici passi:
**PASSO 1:
-
1: Devi cliccare su MARKET
-
2: poi devi cliccare su CARD RENTALS
-
3: poi devi scegliere come durata del noleggio: SEASON**
PASSO 2:
Devi cliccare sull'immagine della carta che vuoi prendere in noleggio.
**PASSO 3:
Si aprirà una schermata in cui:

1: devi cliccare sul quadrato bianco in direzione della carta che hai scelto

2: devi cliccare su RENT** (freccia 2 immagine seguente)
**PASSO 4:
Nella schermata successiva:

1: devi cliccare su RENT
-
2: devi confermare la tua scelta cliccando su OK**
Come noleggiare una carta per un'intera stagione usando Peakmonsters
Il noleggio di una carta per un'intera stagione può essere effettuata anche utilizzando siti di terze parti. Adesso ti mostro come puoi effettuare la stessa operazione di noleggio che ti ho mostrato prima dalla sezione Rent di Peakmonsters invece del sito di Splinterlands.
**PASSO 1:
-
1: Devi effettuare il login su https://peakmonsters.com/ utilizzando Hive Keychain
-
2: devi cliccare su Rent** in alto a sinistra
**PASSO 2:
-
1: devi cliccare su SEASON nella sezione Filter** (lado destro della schermata)
-
2: devi scegliere la carta che vuoi noleggiare nell'elenco presente al centro della schermata e cliccare sul simbolo del carrello
**PASSO 3:
-
1: devi cliccare sul simbolo del carrello in alto a destra come indicato dalla freccia numero 1 nell'immagine seguente

2: poi devi scegliere il metodo di pagamento che vuoi utilizzare (DEC o Crediti)

3: poi devi cliccare su CONFIRM all'interno della schermata di Hive Keychain**
Splinterlands Card Rentals e Peakmonsters Rent
Noleggiare una carta dalla sezione Card Rentals di Splinterlands o dalla sezione Rent di Peakmonsters è un'operazione semplice da effettuare in entrambi i casi ma Peakmonsters ha molte più funzionalità e molti più filtri che permettono di velocizzare le operazioni di noleggio.

Se ad esempio vuoi noleggiare Pecalor Bandit di livello 8 ti basterà utilizzare due filtri (Card Name e Level) per restringere immediatamente la ricerca e trovare la carta.
Se il prezzo di noleggio non ti piace puoi anche provare a fare un'offerta di noleggio cliccando su BID
Perchè noleggiare le carte?
Il noleggio è l'alternativa economica all'acquisto di carte. Puoi valutare di noleggiare le carte invece di acquistarle per avanzare velocemente nelle leghe di Splinterlands e guadagnare le ricompense di gioco (SPS tokens e Chests) senza investire molto. In questo modo puoi utilizzare le ricompense di gioco per costruirti un deck sempre più competitivo stagione dopo stagione. Così facendo sarai in grado di noleggiare un numero sempre minore di carte stagione dopo stagione e la tua spesa per il noleggio diminuirà progressivamente con il passare del tempo.
Quando avevo poche carte nella mia collezione ho utilizzato spesso il noleggio.
Oggi grazie a quei noleggi e alle ricompense di gioco che ho guadaganto mi sono costruito una collezione di carte competitiva per le leghe Gold e sto aumentando la forza in battaglia della mia collezione di carte per essere competitivo anche nelle leghe Diamond.
Per decidere quanto investire nel noleggio delle carte ti consiglio di studiare e analizzare il valore stimato delle ricompense di gioco che puoi ottenere giocando in una determinata lega. Ti consiglio anche di procedere per gradi aumentando il livello/costo delle carte noleggiate man mano che avanzi nelle leghe.

Per scegliere le carte da noleggiare per essere competitivo in una precisa lega puoi guardare i Decks costruiti dai giocatori più esperti (thematic o lineup) utilizzando la recente funzionalità My Decks creata da Peakmonsters.
Considerazioni Finali
Il noleggio stagionale aggiunge una nuova funzionalità e una nuova opzione al noleggio. Il noleggio stagionale di una carta dovrebbe teoricamente avere un prezzo inferiore rispetto al noleggio giornaliero ma per il momento non c'è molta differenza di prezzo tra le due tipologie ma solo perchè è il noleggio stagionale una funzionalità recente e il numero di carte nel mercato del noleggio stagionale è minore del numero di carte nel mercato del noleggio giornaliero.
Di recente Splinterlands ha introdotto la fees di 1 DEC o 1 credito per il noleggio e per la messa in vendita di una carta. A causa di queste fees l'operazione di noleggio lato proprietario di una carta richiede una scelta e una valutazione diversa da quella del noleggiante ma questi aspetti saranno l'argomento di un mio prossimo post.
