Tenemos gran motivación ya que al saber el manejo de este negocio nos da seguridad de volver a emprender con más recursos. Hace 30 años comenzamos sin tener conocimientos, solo por gustarnos los huevos de codorniz, no sabíamos cuando era era o macho, pasando por el mal rato de que nos vendieran puros machos. Ya sabes que la hembra tiene una pigmentación oscura en su pecho, unas pintas en su plumaje y el macho tiene su pecho color canela.

En nuestro inventario contamos con tres incubadoras una con una capacidad para 250 huevos fértiles, otra incubadora para la eclosión de 350 huevos fertiles y otra incubadora para 500 huevos fértiles. Estos huevos fértiles se consiguen al unir a la hembra con tres machos, en jaulas de 5 compartimientos, en cada piso colocamos veinticinco aves, de las cuales cinco o seis son hembras, así podemos tener certeza de que los huevos tenga un 80% o 90% de fertilidad. En otra jaulas colocaremos aves hembras que consumirán puro alimento y sus huevos serán para consumo. Estos son los famosos huevos de codorniz que verán en comercios y hasta en eventos.

Recordando nuestra primera experiencia en este maravilloso mundo de poder tener una cría de codornices sin ninguna experiencia, en el segundo intento pudimos adquirir un terreno, tener galpones, incubadoras, jaulas, trabajadores experimentar muchas emociones al ver como en uno de los momentos duros de la economía de nuestro país no tener ni el alimento para estas aves, entender que no podíamos seguir y ahora a pesar de todo lo que estamos pasando querer emprender de nuevo nos llena de gran emoción.
