With the Election 2020 weve seen so much censorship of right wing voices that it comes a time to ask ourselves:

Whats the end game here?

By accident on twitter i ran into a link to Joe Bidens campaign website where he talks about "fighting online abuse". I had to look into it. Heres a screenshot of part of the text. You can find the rest on joebiden.com/vawa.

Apparently this "task force" will develop their own set of rules on what is online abuse and harassment, and will try and get social media to accept it. Mean people on the internet are mean and need to be stopped. A big issue with this, beyond calling writing words online "sexual harrasment", with this is the circled word. "Extremism". As we have seen from the "Project Veritas" leaks, the facebook and twitter moderators label as extremism anything that opposes their worldview. A leftist task force would most likely do the same.
Censorship under the guise of protecting people online.

This, "anti-troll" task force could happen or it might not, but the fact they wrote this clearly shows the stance of the ruling elite (if Biden wins) on censorship resistance and freedom of speech.

Could a task force on "misinformation" be next? The government telling you what youre allowed to say online? What youre allowed to see?

This is something straight out of Orwell 1984 and it is not hard to imagine. It happens slowly and gradually with ideas like this because if they made big leaps the public would react in revolt.
So they take a small step at a time, small steps that alone do not warrant revolt from the public, rather a grin of unappreciation, counting on the publics short memory span, but in the end they get the result they want.

There are very few things more dear to me than freedom of speech, letting people say what they have to say.
That should be a uniting factor between the two sides of the political spectrum.
