Back to the hustle.

Online Poker has been a profitable hobby for me. I've been grinding over at PokerStars for more than ten years now, and even though I take long breaks from the platform on a frequent basis, in the end I always return for more. It's a nice side-hustle that enables me to bag some sweet profits given that I have the necessary time to devote.

Which is rarely the case these days.

Back in my hay days.

I used to spend long hours playing massive tournament sessions back in the day, waking up at 2 pm and breaking my hands till 6 - 7 am. The five-minute breaks that take place once every hour used to be all the time I had to eat, take showers, shake hands with the president and pretty much everything else normal human beings need to do on a daily basis to survive.

It was starting to become exhausting. You think I am exaggerating? Take a closer look:

That's right, over 1 million real-money hands for my account. My enemies knowing this allows me to be a lot more aggressive, as they tend to believe I'm not messing around. So, that 1 mil hands badge enables me to bluff successfully a lot more frequently.

After all, poker is all about information; giving out information intentionally in order to use people's thoughts to your advantage, and analyzing your own behaviour on a table so as to know what the rest expect from you.

OG status.

I've seen it all on this platform. I remember falling to bed after long, intense tournament sessions and seeing numbers, percentages and boards in my dreams. That's when I realized that I needed to slow down a bit and go about living a normal life.

The money was always good, but I somehow needed to have a more productive daily routine.

Oh, by the way things changed a bit while I was writing this post:

Moving forward.

Nowadays I do not have the time to join such sessions anyway, as my day job is very demanding and consumes most of my precious time. However, Fridays and weekends always present a good opportunity to join some Turbo Tourneys that do not take more than 3 - 4 hours to finish. Of course it's harder to get a good spot with blind levels going up at a higher pace, as it takes a lot of experience in order to handle a wider betting range, but I've got plenty of experience in this business.

They say that it takes around 10,000 hours to master something, but I don't know if that's true or not. What I do know though is that I've spent more than that playing real-money hands on PokerStars, so I'm taking my chances.

Anyway, gotta get back to stealing people's chips with shithands. Always remember, online poker is addictive and dangerous. If you don't know what you're doing, stay away from it.

I appreciate your attention.

Stay safe and have a good one, @lordneroo
