This has to be the fastest checkmate in history.

And one of the most important reasons why BTC has been such a success. Don't get me wrong, I do realize that there are way too many reasons why a decentralized, peer-to-peer transaction system is much needed in today's world and has a bright future ahead, but I think Satoshi's disappearance is highly underrated and we should be talking a lot more about this.

It's still a fascinating mystery and people tend to focus on this aspect of the matter, and I am no better. I often catch myself wondering who or where they might be, if they're still alive or not, if they are ever going to come out, etc. But let it be clear, I sure hope they won't show themselves. Ever. Period.

A public face behind Bitcoin would be a huge obstacle, and at the same time a very powerful weapon in the hands of the corrupt institutions and organizations responsible for pretty much everything that's wrong in the world these days. There may be many better, more technologically advanced alternatives to Bitcoin, but I think we can all agree that BTC is the flagship of the crypto space, and the fact that it's been safe, alive and kicking for almost 12 years now is life insurance.

Some things are better kept secret.

In my humble opinion, Satoshi's disappearance has made it impossible for the powers that be to ruin the reputation of the crypto world. No matter how many scams, rug-pulls or ponzi schemes come into existence, BTC is where it all started and it's still safe as hell. Satoshi's anonymity has been instrumental in turning the Bitcoin network into such a great platform of trust.

The ''product'' speaks for itself; it's a technological breakthrough that introduced a permissionless public network people can use to perform transactions without intermediaries. It opened a new chapter in international finance and gave the ordinary man something to smile about. However, even though the technology behind it all is brilliant, attacking the creator would make it easier to discredit the entire movement.

Too bad they can't attack unknown entities. Now, some people tend to believe that the Satoshi narrative is BS, and that the whole concept of crypto is the elite's trojan horse, invented in order to push their agenda and enslave humanity and whatever. Of course, I do not have any evidence that this is not the case, but I believe that this claim doesn't really make sense.

Bitcoin empowers people. Real people.

Giving us such a powerful weapon in order to control us kind of defeats the purpose, don't you agree? I don't see how a system that enables two given users to perform safe transactions freely without geographic or legal limitations helps the evil sickos running the world to keep doing what they have been doing since forever.

I don't think we live in an ideal world, and I'm well aware of the situation regarding the players who are actually in charge, but I also believe that amazing things do happen on Earth, and the creation of the BTC protocol is one of them. Maybe I'm just a dreamer and this is too good to be true, but that's the way I see it.

I appreciate your attention.

Alright guys, that's it for now. Thank you for taking the time to read these lines.

Just my two cents. This is by no means financial advice. Just sharing my personal views and experiences. Please do not take my word for your investment choices, and always do your own research.
