Win this card delegation: Level 3 Gold Foil Djinn Muirat (For the remainder of the season).

In today's post, I will be giving one lucky Splinterlands lover the chance to play with this mighty card. It is, of course, the DJINN MUIRAT in a sparkling GOLD FOIL. All you have to do to win is to leave me a comment where you've come up with a nickname for this card. Perhaps you'd call him 'Bruiser' or 'Badass Bobby' - I don't know, be original, and my favourite nickname will get this card for the remainder of the season (including End of Season).

Let's deep dive with this card a bit further though, to understand why it's so amazing. I think the answer lies in it's mix of stats and skills - little wonder is is considered 'LEGENDARY'.

The first thing you'll notice is his mighty attack, at +3 magic this guy knows how to pack a punch, and the +2 boots, his speed isn't too bad. Look, its not amazing, but he's at least quickly than GRUMM. Where this card is more interesting is that he has +4 armour and +8 health. Not too bad at all, let's face it.

But his skills are really where he gets his A+ - he has the VOID ARMOUR skill, where MAGIC ATTACKS will hit his armour before his health, and on top of this, his REFLECT MAGIC skill will be able to send those magic bolts flying back at his attacker. And, let's face it - the GIANT KILLER skill sure is useful, it means he will do double the damage to an opponent who costs 10 mana or more, and, double that again with his KNOCK-OUT if they're stunned. As a hint, you'd probably want to play this guy with the REVEALER.

From a value point of view, this card is not cheap and would cost you close to $80 USD to buy, however, his mint is quite low at less than 800 - and that means scarcity. Over time, this card should continue to gain in value - particularly since it is so beasty.

But - let's say you wanted to rent this card? Well - from an investment standpoint, it looks like it is a good little earner. For a 1 BCX card, you'd have to pay 36 DEC per day, and it's still very early in the season. At the end of the season, this would surely balloon. Or - if you wanted him Level 4, you'd need 300 a day! I guess what I'm saying is, by getting this card for free, you're getting a pretty good deal.

Especially if you need some CARD POWER - At 25,000 card power, this guy might be the difference between being able to move up in a league. I'd call that incredibly useful!

Talking strategy then - this card will certainly be helpful when you come up against a MAGIC TEAM, because of his REFLECT MAGIC. For me then, I'd probably want to build an entire team around this guy.

I'd probably want to start with a Level 5 or Level 6 THADDIUS BROOD, as he will allow you to play the DJINN MUIRAT at Level 3. This is where you will want to be to be competitive in gold league. The added advantage of this card, is that by building an anti-magic team, you're also reducing your opponent's magic. I love when an opponent plays OBSIDIAN or ALRIC, then instantly lose their buff.

The other card that you might want to think about playing is the VENARI SPELLSMITH, whose AMPLIFY skill is mighty to be able to double the damage which the DJINN MUIRAT's MAGIC REFLECT will shoot back. Basically this is all about finding a synergy with that MAGIC REFLECT to make him all the more dangerous.

Of course, there are lots of other combinations to consider - perhaps cards with SILENCE or ARMOUR REBUILD. All great ways to frustrate an opponent - but, let's talk about those next time.
