My previous 100 Hive starter city post was a great success.

I got more comments on it than i had on any other Dcity Helper post and several new players decided to try out Dcity because of it. A special shout out is in order for @vcelier who made his own Ad Agency city and obviously got a dose of the Dcity virus since, as he has bought a lot of new cards since i checked his city yesterday.

Bienvenue to Dcity Mr. former French navy officer.

Today i will make a 100 Hive starter city for @theycallmedan.

This is what Dan's city looks like now.

If you wonder why he has a city with 1 luxury home, 1 public restroom and 2 homeless, well yours truly has been trying Dcity plugging for quite some time now and some time ago, i sent a lux home and a public restroom to several Hivers in an attempt to interest them for the game.

Obviously in Dan's case it didn't have the desired effect, so it's time to roll out the big guns.

As usual we will try to maximize SIM income for starter cities and as the Ad Agency price jumped after my last post, we'll try something different this time. Also, @ecoinstant rightly pointed out to me that luxury homes are a better choice for population than apartments for maximizing SIM, so we'll take his advice on it for Dan's starter city as well.

First let's check today's market prices for income buildings:

Ad Agency: 5.33 Hive for 9 SIM income, or 0.592 Hive per SIM Restaurant: 5.44 Hive for 10 SIM income, or 0.544 Hive per SIM Gym: 2.76 Hive for 5 SIM income, or 0.552 Hive per SIM Shopping Mall: 8.2 Hive for 15 SIM income, or 0.546 Hive per SIM Stadium: 7.96 Hive for 15 SIM income, or 0.531 Hive per SIM Forest: 2.11 Hive for 4 SIM income, or 0.527 Hive per SIM

It seems today there are two candidates which are: Stadiums and Forests.

Stadiums have the added benefit that they generate Entry tokens, which can be used to enter Dcity tournaments on Splinterlands or can be sold as a bonus income on HE. The reason i will pick forests for Dan's city, is that stadiums require more workers, which means we would have to add more population buildings.

So lets buy 36 forests at 2.11 for 75.96 Hive. And lets take Eco's advice and buy 18 luxury homes at 1.35 for 24.3 Hive.

This puts us just over the 100 Hive and leaves with a small unemployment, but not to worry. Dan has 2 homeless and when we simulate selling those on the market, the unemployment disappears and the total amount invested comes to 99.7 Hive.

This is what Dan's city looks like now:

SIM income increased from 3 to 158, an increase of 155 SIM. This comes down to 0.775 Hive per day or 282.82 Hive per year.

A whopping 284% APR.

If the tax levels had not been changed, due to Dcity president @d-pend turning on war tax yesterday and bumping taxes to 15.1%, this setup would have beaten the setup in my Dcity Helper post #11, which had an insane APR of 301%.

I guess @ecoinstant had a good point in using luxury homes instead of apartments for these starter cities.

This starter city example is another example that you don't need deep pockets in order to create a profitable city. And all the fun you'll have playing the game is not even included in the APR.

I'd like to thank @onealfa , @rollandthomas , @thegoliath , @ecoinstant , @jrcornel , @trumpman and everybody else who supported my earlier Dcity Helper posts and i hope you'll keep doing so now i started the series up again. Your votes matter and help me give away more cards on each new Dcity Helper post!
