Today we will talk about a news that in theory is very positive for the mass adoption of Bitcoin, I refer to the project developed by the debit and credit card giant VISA to create its own Bitcoin wallet, an element that in my opinion could print more economic dynamism to the Bitcoin network.

Multinational financial services company Visa is starting to execute its plan to develop its own wallet for Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies. The US company filed a request to register its product with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

According to the data provided by the company itself in the form it submitted to the USPTO, the wallet would have both a desktop and an online version and would include support not only for cryptocurrencies, but also for other cryptoassets such as non-fungible tokens or NFTs and digital currencies in general.

In the details of the form completed by Visa, it describes non-downloadable software for users to view, store, manage, trade, send, receive and exchange cryptocurrencies, digital currencies and digital assets or on the blockchain.

In addition, included in the registration ID is online software for all of the above actions, there is a sentence from Visa's application that also suggests that the company might be interested in developments in the metaverse.

The truth of it all is that Visa and Mastercard are moving closer to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, as this development by the US credit and financial services giant complements other actions by the same company in the past, as well as by its competitor Mastercard.
