Like any other product, LeoDex has features which aren't found in other, similar, products. This edition of "Notes from a Novice Trader" is focused on the features which separate LeoDex from both Hive Engine and Tribaldex. Below are the unique features of LeoDex.

Unique Features of LeoDex Cheat Sheet

Above is a graphic table showing the unique features of LeoDex. Below is text version of the same table:

Describing the Unique Features of the LeoDex

Integrated Richlist

While Hive Engine had a link to the Richlist which was hosted at another Hive blockchain domain-- he.dtools.dev, LeoDex integrated access to this domain into both its Wallet interface and Tokens page interface.

Whether at the Wallet page or the Tokens page, the Richlist is accessed by a yellow-ish button with an icon representing 2 people, one behind another. At both pages, each instance of the Richlist button is coded for the Layer 2 token it represents.

Once the Richlist appears, its contents appear in the same format as that presented at
he.dtools.dev, but wrapped with the LeoDex skin. All that's missing is the one-field form for searching for another symbol. It's always possible to edit the address to replace the current symbol with a new symbol, but given the way the Richlist is accessible from both Wallet and Tokens pages it may not be necessary to do that.

0.25% Fees for Deposits and Withdrawals

Along with being designed to resemble the PeakD blogging client, this is perhaps the most notable feature separating LeoDex from both Hive Engine and Tribaldex. The other 2 HIVE DEXs charge 1.00% fees for deposits and withdrawals. This reason alone convinced me to start my trading experiences using LeoDex rather than the more-familiar Hive Engine.

How LeoDex can charge 0.25% while both Hive Engine Tribaldex charge 1.00% is a mystery to me.

Just My Two Sats

LeoDex doesn't have many features which separate it from the other HIVE DEXs, but the unique features it has are attractive.

Richlist access has been integrated with the DEX, unlike at Hive Engine which provided a link which took one away from the DEX to another domain. Even though it uses the same data as that found at he.dtools.dev, it's a faster experience at LeoDex.

Perhaps the biggest point in favor of LeoDex is the 0.25% fees it charges for both deposits and withdrawals. I was going to start buying and selling Layer 2 tokens using the DEX at Hive Engine until I discovered this detail.

Anyone familiar with PeakD's wallet will be at home using LeoDex. Anyone whose main activity is at LeoFinance will be comfortable navigating the various sections of LeoDex. Even if neither description fits, the UX (user experience) at LeoDex will be a good one for someone new to trading.
