It looks as if China saying bad things about cryptocurrency in general is similar to Elon Musk saying something about Bitcoin or Dogecoin: it could be a ploy to slyly buy more after prices fall.

Cryptocurrency will go to zero, but not for the reasons China says it will. Cryptocurrency is still tied to fiat currency, and the current fiat currency regime is undergoing a controlled demolition to whatever will will replace it. If cryptocurrency goes to zero, it's only because USD, CNY, EUR, etc. are also going to zero.

As long as electricity exists and as long as people are willing to use it, cryptocurrency has a good future. If electricity is lost for weeks at a minimum to years, the cryptocurrency is worth as much as Pet Rocks.
