Bear markets are frightful only to people who buy near the top of a bull market. Many of us have done that for some item or other. Part of that is because of FOMO. Part of that is just bad timing for us. If we really believe in the item we bought when it was priced high, we should hold on to it as prices drop.
The bear markets are excellent buying opportunities because there are sales of all kinds taking place. No matter how long the bear markets last, they will end and give way to bull markets. Then the fun really starts. At that point, we may even recover the money we spent for the item we bought because of FOMO.
