What’s up Splinterlands Warriors!

I hope all of you have enjoyed the weekend at its best after a long and boring week. But for us splinterlands players, there's no rest cause only 17 hours left for this current season to end! So, we mist shine our weapons and join the glorious fight in order to secure a chair in the top positions. I am playing in diamond tier this season as well and like I said in my last post, I have already started pushing the account towards the leaderboard. I surpassed approx. 270+ trophies today while playing and currently sitting with 3827 trophies, but there is still a long way to go to secure the prize so wish me luck 🍀 friends!

Now, let us take a quick peak on the crypto market to keep us updated. First, lets see the main dominator BTC and currently its being traded at 38,834.12$ with a +0.29% change in last 24 hours. After a quick dip to 38k, BTC has again recovered itself almost to 39k but the overall market seems bearish. The other main dominator ETH is currently being traded at 2,540$ with a -0.55% change in last 24 hours. Hive is also seems to hold its position under 1$ and currently being sold at 0.8308$ with a -2.45% price change in last 24 hours.

The splinterlands token market on the other hand is doing pretty decent. The main in game token DEC has been stable around 0.003$ for quite a time and now selling for 0.00307$ per unit with a -1.28% price change is last 24 hours. SPS is still facing a downtrend with -1.41% price change in last 24 hours and currently being traded for 0.107$. While vouchers are now under 1$ and currently being traded for 0.952$.

HUNTER JARX

Now, let us move towards my main theme as today, I am going to showcase another awesome Chaos monster with you all, HUNTER JARX.

Hunter Jarx is an epic edition card that belongs to the Earth unit. It costs 6 mana to use in the battlefield and it’s attack type is range. The main advantage of this monster is it’s accurate Sniping that never gets missed. Now, without further ado, Let us take a deep dive and find out more about his card in down below.

Bronze

At level 2, jarx gets 3 range power at 2 speed with 7 health and also possesses the Sniper ability. Because of this ability, it will target the first enemy card with range, magic or no attack that is not at front position.

Silver

At level 3, this card’s range power gets increased to 4 with 2 speed and 7 health. The increased attack power shall help you in killing enemy cards faster.

Gold

At level 5, this card possesses 4 range attack at 2 speed with 8 health and also gets True Strike ability from level 4. Monsters with true strike can not miss their attacks so from now on, every time it attacks, the jarx will hit the enemy for sure.

Diamond & Champion

At level 6, this card gets a whooping amount of 5 range attack at 2 speed with 8 health along with those 2 abilities that I mentioned above.

Important points about Hunter Jarx

  • First of all, its high powered range attack. A max level jarx has 5 range attack which seems overpowered considering its mana cost. It can kill down small monsters with 1 attack and maximum 2 or 3 for even the mightiest monsters of splinterlands.

  • Even in it’s max level, the hunter jarx only possesses 2 speed, so it sill generally attack at last. However, in reverse speed ruleset matches, this monster will attack way before and can be beneficial in such case.

  • The sniper + true strike ability combo can be used to make Sniper lineups with one or 2 more snipers fighting beside it. Because of the true strike, it wont miss its attack even if it only contains 2 speed in max level.

  • Not to forget that its high can be used as defence. You can place this monster at the rear most position of your lineup or in the first sniper position to consume multiple enemy attacks before going down and give your other monsters more time.

Market Stat

Hunter Jarx is currently being sold in the official splinterlands market for 1$ per single bcx and onwards and will cost you 323.75 DEC. There is also a level 4 (11 bcx) card available for only 19.15$ which you may consider a good deal.

Battle Line-up

Battle Link: Click here

mana Cap: 19

Splinters allowed: Water, Earth, Life and Death.

Ruleset:

  • Healed Out - All healing abilities and buffs will be removed in this match.

  • Taking Sides - No neutral monster can be used in this match.

FAILED SUMMONER

I chose the Failed Summoner at the first place of my line-up mainly because of it’s magic reflect and demoralize ability. I am using a level 10 here and it has 0 attack at 2 speed with 9 health along with 3 abilities - magic reflect, Demoralize and Strength. Both of it's anti magic and anti melee structure provide a great defence therefore.

BROWNIE

I used the brownie at the second place of my line-up and I chose this monster mainly because of it’s inspire and swift ability that comes only for one mana cost. I am using a level six here and it has 1 melee attack at six speed with three health along with those two abilities.

SWAMP THING

I used the swamp thing at the third position of my line-up mainly because It’s weaken + slow ability only at 2 mana cost. I am using level six here and it carries to arrange attack at one speed with six health along with those two abilities that I mentioned above.

ACID SHOOTER

I chose the acid shooter at the fourth position of my line-up and I selected this monster mainly because of its scattershot + cripple + poison ability that comes only for two mana cost. I am using a level six in here and it has two range attack at three speed with five health along with those three abilities that I mentioned.

CHILD OF THE FOREST

I am using child of the forest at my fifth position and the reason behind choosing this monster is it’s sniper + Snare ability combo. I am using a level eight here and it has three range attack at five speed with six health along with those two abilities.

HUNTER JARX

I choose my hero hunter jacks at the last position of my lineup and I chose this card mainly because of its sniper plus true strike ability I will be using to sniper monster here to increase the total sniping attack power and thou the jarx has low speed, it wont miss it’s attack because of true strike. I am using a level 6 here and it has 5 range attack at 2 speed with 8 health along with those 2 abilities.

Match Result

I used Mylor summoner in this match to gain advantage against enemy melee monsters. But my opponent used 2 opportunity melee attackers, so I got lucky with my summoner choosing. My opponent’s front was protected with Mycelic Morphoid, followed by Failed Summoner, Screeching vulture, Queen Mycelia, Goblin Sorcerer and Venari Scout at the end. He used 2 opportunity monsters as his main attack strategy added with 1 magic sneak and lots of defence. Now, let’s see how the match goes!

At round 1, my child attacked first and broke down failed’s shield, followed by the goblin’s attack which damaged my jarx. My acid shooter attacked next but missed its target on the scout. The enemy vulture attacked next but missed its target in my brownie. Lolz we are even now 😂 My Jarx attacked next and damaged the failed’s health down to 4, , followed by the followed by the scout’s attack but it also missed its target on my brownie. That's 2 evades back to back, thanks to my super flash 1 mana Brownie! My swamp thing attacked next and broke down the mycelic’s armour. The mycelic attacked next and damaged my failed, but also took thorns damage in return. The queen attacked last and brought down my failed health down to 8, but also received magic reflect damage in return.

At round 2, my child attacked first again and brought the failed’s health down to 1. The goblin attacked next and damaged my jarx’s health down to 3. My acid attacked next and broke the goblin’s armour, also applied poison and cripple on it. The vulture attacked next on my jarx and made it’s health down to only 1, but also took thorns damage in return and lost it’s armour. My Jarx attacked next and finally killed down the failed. Now the scout attacked and killed my jarx too, but took back thorns damage and lost it’s armour. My swamp thing attacked next and killed down the mycelic. The queen attacked last and damaged my failed by 1 but also received magic reflect damage in return.

At round 3, the goblin got died because of the poison that my acid shooter applied on him. Both my child and acid shooter attacked next and killed down the queen together. The vulture attacked afterwards and damaged my failed’s health down to 5 and also got thorns damage in return. The scout attacked at last but missed it’s attack again upon my brownie, that’s 3 misses brownie, you Rockstar! At Last, my swamp thing attacked the vulture and made it’s health 4.

At round 4, both my child and shooter attacked again and killed down the vulture together. The only living enemy monster scout then attacked my failed but took back thorns damaged and made it’s health down to 3. My swamp thing attacked next and took away 2 health from that. And then at round 5, my child attacked first and finally killed down the wounded scout and scored me another victory and some more trophies towards the leaderboard!

It was a fantastic match I Would say and I am very surprised with the hunter jarx's performance as while it consumed multiple attacks before going down, its impossible to dodge high range attacks really helped me with killing those enemy monsters down. Do you love this New Hunter Jarx chaos card or prefer other options first? Let me know feeling in the comments below and I will be meeting you all in my next post.

Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.
