Greetings, fellow sentient beings!

As of late, I've been respecting the HPUD, sometimes symbolically, and sometimes...as a treatment for my ocd about round numbers. Round in my own opinion, that is. I can't exactly tell you what a round number in my opinion is. It's not a round round number. It's a number that has some significance and that stands out as a milestone in my trained to appreciate asymmetry and natural chaos brain. Like 9001. It's rounder than 9000...

That's after. I knew I wanted to pass that 9001 HP milestone this month so I withdrew some of the Hive that was kind of locked up in assets in a game. Locking some Hive there was the reason I am temporarily not a double dolphin but I shall be a double dolphin again. Soon. Hold on, OCD of mine.

For those who only know about the curation project, OCD usually stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. One that makes people do irrational things based on bugs in their brains that tell them they should arrange their environment in certain ways or keep...let's not go there and talk about hands being scrubbed clean until they bleed, etc. THe real OCD is a dangerous thing. But I find most people have some amount of its symptoms, bugging their behavior, such as my round numbers bug.

Here's what my HP score looked like before today's Power Up...

Would you guess that anything in the 8700 would not do for me and I would try hard to get out of that zone as quickly as possible? That's why there was no way for me to just power up some 50 or 100 HP, nor even 10, since it would bring me close to that danger zone but I would still have to go through it.

Phew...Powering Up done, we look fine, I don't care about the numbers after the decimal separator...

By the way, I did write ifne, instead of fine. I think I'm mostly ifne with letting it stay and join the popular misspelling subculture.

Ah, here's a cool badge they gave me for showing some conformism ;)

Yeah, it was more than 10 HP. Like 316 which is also a round number.

Not as round as 2 to the power of anything but still...

Does my little OCD round numbers symptom affect me in a negative way?

I think it does. It certainly affects my trading and investment decisions, making me impatient when the result is not a number I would stay happy with. A person should get rid of such irrational inner forces.

I probably will. Some day. And crypto will be the thing to help me do so, see if it won't.

Peace be with your minds!

Yours,

Manol,

A dolphin and 4/5-ths.
