Hive and Hive Engine Power Up Day August 2022

Hey Hivers,

Back from my trip, just in time for Hive Power Up Day of course! Because of that trip, there was a slight slow down in my account growth, for both Hive and 2nd layer tokens, and I'm sure it will carry on a bit in early August. But overall, this was another good month for me on Hive, actually probably better than most months as of late. The first good point was another successful Power Up Month. I was back in the club last month and repeated the performance this month. But without more delay, let's check out the details.

HIVE

Except for the surprising pump today, the price was fairly stable, and that was a good time to accumulate. So, for the second month in a row, I increased my Power Up, with 26.66HP this month.

And also like last month, I increased again the amount of HBD I pushed to savings with 6.66HBD this month. Getting close to 100HBD in my savings, still a low total, but better than nothing to enjoy the 20% APR, and consistently growing.

The slight acceleration in my account growth end of last month was confirmed this month, in spite of the mentioned slow down at the end. Starting at 2525HP, I finished the month at 2622HP. Almost 100HP, obviously way above my 2.5HP daily target.

And with today's Power Up, that is now a total of 2648HP. I hope this initial slow down in August does not affect the overall growth and I can get back to the same levels I've seen the past couple of months.

SPORTS

I know I'm repeating myself with this one, but as I still don't really know what to do with SPORTS token, I kept the 'stake-all' method this month again. And once again, it wasn't bad at all with about 490k added to my stake, just a little bit more than last month. That brings my total to just around 9.24M. The 10M milestone is in sight now.

DUNK

With the end of the NBA season, this tribe is almost dormant. I am still hopeful and will for sure keep my stake, but it's not changing much right now. I probably should use it to generate some dividends somewhere else. My total now is at about 85.7k.

ALIVE

And like I was saying last month, the We Are Alive Tribe is much more lively (bad pun intended...), especially the #aliveandthriving project. With all the daily contests and prizes, I was able to add more than 900AP to my stake this month to reach about 4326AP. If I can keep the same trend, I should get over the 5k milestone before the end of August, way sooner I thought it possible.

Targets

  • If the HIVE price stays high after this pump, it'll become more difficult to accumulate, but I'm hoping a 2HP daily target is still possible (down to 2.5HP last month)
  • Like I said, now the target is 10M for SPORTS. It's not going to happen this month, but I hope I can add at least 450k to my stake in August.
  • Still no target on DUNK, just wait and see for now.
  • ALIVE is still going well for me, so I believe I can keep my 200AP weekly target. And like I said, at this rate, 5k should be reached soon.
  • I still wasn't able to increase much my drip tokens accounts. This is something I'd like to really push in the next few months, just for the passive income.
