What are punks on hive?

We can refer to Punks on Hive as a NFTs which is in form of the classic kind of Crypto Punks series and it was built on the Hive blockchain with some few improvements...

According to the creator/creators , The Punks on Hive is actually a NFTs on the Hive Engine..

Each of the punks are unique with their own specific ID and they are non-fungible... Whenever you mint a new Punk , there will be an IPFS hash which is assigned to the NFT that will be able to store the attributes , the image and the basic transaction information for the Punk...

It is said that there are a total of 10,000 Punks.

It is said that Each of the Punks are generated with a kind of random attributes which is based on a predefined criteria via using a random seed that consists of the transaction block id , consists of the previous block id , consists the transaction id, and also the transaction offset.

And it is confirmed that The code to be able to generate attributes is available publicly thereby allowing you to be able to verify your Punk...

Another amazing feature which I like about the punks on hive is the "Rarity score"

What is rarity score?

The rarity score is said to be an effective measure of how rare a Punk is. So the fact is that the higher the rarity score , then the more rare and also potentially valuable the Punk will be..

The calculations for the rarity score are made by looking at the rarity of each of the attribute and also summing all the attributes which are assigned to a Punk...

The rarity score of punks are said to be re-calculated each time a new Punk is minted....

You need to have some hive to be able to mint the punks ..

Let me also remind you that the project was majorly built by @themarkymark

There are no listing fees to start using the punks market but there is said to be a 10% market fee...

You can auction a punk at the auction House , it requires a 1 BEE fee that is said to be burned by Hive Engine and it comes with a 10% settlement fee...

You can check their official website here to get started...
