I'm posting this to LeoFinance because LeoFinance is an emerging center of activity, growth and hopefully wealth going forward. Thus it will be increasingly important for LEO stakeholders to participate in chain governance. What that means in practice is for the community to vote for their own people for witnesses. It would be important to do this anyway because by voting for witnesses based on their track records you're encouraging actions you consider to be good. What you encourage and reward for you get more of.

If you have alt accounts, remember to vote with them, too! Hive Power delegations (received or given) do not affect witness voting power or voting power over proposals.

IMO, the easiest way to vote for witnesses is to navigate to

https://peakd.com/me/witnesses

Just click on the symbol under Vote. It's blue when your vote is active and gray when you have not given a vote for a particular witness. You have 30 votes.

As a LEO investor @leofinance is the witness to vote for if you wish to further the interests of the LeoFinance community in chain governance.

Now, let's take a look at witnesses outside the top 20 who I want to personally endorse because of the active role they have taken as developers in the wider ecosystem. This is not meant to devalue anyone else's contributions particularly those who have worked hard on the last hard fork. These are just my picks for up and coming witnesses or old workhorses who are not getting the attention they deserve in my opinion.

@fbslo is back in the witness game after a break. @fbslo has been actively developing wrapped versions of Tribe tokens on Ethereum. I believe wrapped Tribe tokens will be crucial in attracting investment in the entire ecosystem in the future. There's a lot of money in DeFi and by giving ETH holders a way to provide liquidity for Tribes opens the possibility for them to reap passive returns while making the Tribe tokens more liquid and to grow their market caps. LeoFinance is leading the way. The recently launched LeoInfra platform allows for Metamask wallet holders to create a guest account on Hive and to use like a regular user LeoFinance without burdening them with key management from the start. They can opt for cashing in their rewards in ETH. When wLEO is relaunched in the near future, they will also be able to participate in liquidity provision to the wLEO/ETH pair. This is something entirely novel capable of creating entirely fresh interest in Hive. What a lot of ETH holders want to do is go for passive yields from their ETH. A lot of ETH holders also want to talk crypto and it should be a complete no-brainer to do the talking on LeoFinance where ETH can be earned while at it, which in turn can be yield farmed by providing liquidity to the wLEO/ETH pair. This should be a winning combination.

Then there's the old workhorse @holger80 who is the developer of the Python libraries beem/beempy. It says here that he's also participated in the development of Hive-Engine. Such basic libraries for users of different programming languages to use when developing Hive Dapps is very important. He's just finished updating his Python library to support HF 24.

@techcoderx operates a full node and so does @deathwing.

@roomservice created HiveOnboard.com and the HIVE WooCommerce Payment Plugin. WooCommerce is a WordPress plugin that enables HIVE to be used as a means on payment.

@cadawg has created many useful things including the https://nftm.art/ website that enables non-fungible-tokens representing works of art to be bought and sold on the Hive blockchain.
