Splinterlands - How Many Real Players Vs Bots?
I read a post from peakmonsters back in October discussing some concerns as to how many Splinterlands accounts were played by bots. In Depth Look At Splinterlands Invasion of The Spinterbots by @cryptoniusrex. With that a little over three months since and I wanted to make an update based on latest peakmonsters.com rich list to see how much has changed since.

EVERYONE THAT HAS CARDS

Since Chaos Legions general sales has begun there is close to a total of 7 million packs sold. Not to mention the many additional Chaos reward cards earn by all players. Comparing to the original post of 271,104 accounts there is an interest of 29.3% in accounts with some collection power. Spread the % evenly it is like 10% account growth per a month. These would be assumed as active accounts since there are cards in the their wallets. Of course there could be more accounts where the players only use Spell Book cards which would not count towards total CP.
EVERYONE THAT OWNS CARDS OR DECS

Its a bit confusing to me with total SPS we can estimate closely how many accounts are actually real players. Assumption is alternate accounts such as bots would have their SPS transfer over to main so that main account would have more benefits with staked SPS.
EVERYONE THAT HAS EVER WON A GAME

Any account that is currently holding DEC would be consider played accounts. This is almost 700k accounts. That is nearly three times the amount that holds both cards and DEC when basing off total SPS. I think this is pretty reasonable assumption.

The total credits is key to pointing out the very likelihood of at minimum how many are alternate accounts. The difference of 739,479 and 692,006 is 47,473. Credits can not transfer so in all likelihood those +47k are alternate accounts.
EVERYONE INTERESTED IN ADVANCED ECONOMICS OF SPLINTERLANDS

Assuming these are more likely active player accounts since they have assets locked up. It is note worthy that 3 months ago this number was a bit higher than 80k accounts. Therefore only about +11k additional accounts since. I would have thought more players would have staked SPS but then again earning SPS is difficult for those who just started playing versus those who have played since the beginning.
EVERYONE IN COMPETITIVE GUILDS

Almost doubled from three months ago when it was listed at 4,718. I am a bit surprised that not many have merits compared to the total accounts active. This is like a little over 1% of total accounts that holds credits.
EVERY ACCOUNT PLAYING RECENTLY

The accounts daily average only rose a bit from its past October average at 346,429. A little under 10%. With over 700k accounts holding credit it is more than half of the accounts are not active daily. The accounts not playing daily can be assumed to not be bot accounts since bots can run 24/7.
Conclusions
For those who remember peakmonster's post the link of the same stats but taken three months ago, Link Here Again. It is fascinating to see the staked SPS is so low, under 92k accounts, while there are over +700k accounts holding some credits. Since credits can not be sent to another user we can easily conclude a lot of the active players have multiple accounts. Whether these accounts are simply alternates or alternates played by bots is not so clear.
What we can gather is that there is almost 100k account difference between accounts that hold cards with CP versus accounts that hold cards and DEC. The former would like be alternate accounts since they do not hold DEC. At minimum 100k accounts can be reasonably assumed are active alternates. These ~100k active accounts can also be assumed to be potentially bots if we consider them playing daily. Although it could also be that individual player play multiple accounts daily.
