Feral Spirit is a old card and I had posted a weekly battle of one back in the day. Here it is for reference.

With that in mind I decided to look for a similar card to present in this weekly battle post. I think this is a good decision since life splinter has a lot of similarities between Alpha/Beta and Chaos Legions. With that I give you my experience with Stitch Leech.

Formations

The match had explosion rule set and odd number mana cards only. With that I went with life splinter and my opponent went with death splinter.

In my formation I started with Silvershield Paladin followed with Silvershield Assassin, Stitch Leech, Air Elemental, Silvershield Sheriff, and ending with Sand Worm.

My opponent started out with Bone Golem followed up with Slient Sha-vi, Sand Worm, Gargoya Devil, Soul Strangler, and end with Dhamphir Stalker. All melee and range monsters similar to my formation but even in 3 melee and 3 range.

Round 1

The end of round 1 had it five versus four with me having the advantage. Still my tanker in Paladin and follow up Assassin is open to be knocked out in the next round. While my opponent had all monsters with health only at 5 or less.

Round 2

The battle end only two rounds as my monsters were quick enough to get to attack first and knock out my opponents before they could get their attacks.

What really accelerated this match even though the mana count was a high 50 it was the blast. Every attack created a blast and with that it amplified the damage on every single attack whether it was on my side or my opponent.

Conclusions

First off Stitch Leech was not really useful in this match. I believe this was the case because all the monsters had high enough health stats and some even toughness making Leech's mana attack almost not effective. In the end Leech was more of a supplemental attacker.

Silvershield Assasin on the other hand with double strike it makes it much more powerful in its attacks. While both Air Elemental and Silvershield Sheriff, have decent range attack to expand the damage on my opponent. The whole formation except for my Leech seem to fit well in the battle.

If I can have a due over I may not use Leech and have another monster with decent mana attack. The trouble here was Leech not only did not have high enough attack it also had low health stat compared to my other monsters making it vulnerable from big attacks. In the end Leech survives while my rear monster in Sand Worm got knocked out so it was not too bad for Leech.
