Splinterlands - Some of My Daily Rants
So much is going on in the world of Splinterlands that I have some public ranting I would like to share. Please do not take these as advice and they are only my opinions. Thanks!
Current Proposals
There are two days left for proposals #8 and #9. I voted for both proposals to pass and here is my take on it. Players who have held plot lands have held them for over a year and deservedly should be rewarded for their diamond hands. Although during the SPS air drop players with land plots yields decent amount of SPS, the plots themselves have yet to do any work for the owners. Meanwhile the prices of them have steadily decline, but with proposal #8 pass the value of these plots will likely stabilize or maybe even soar higher when it can yield a passive income for holding.
On proposal #9 I feel many newer players have purchased heavily into the packs even though not saying veterans were left out. Yet those who have played Splinterlands way before Chaos series likely have also participated in the buying of land plots at regular price. Those veterans have stashed what I would believe to be a significant portion of plot lands. As proposal #8 likely appears to be passed the holders of lands, a lot fewer than those of tower packs, will be obtaining rewards. Then I think it is deservedly similar to those who bought tower packs to be able to earn rewards too.
Under 4k players currently holding land plots, meanwhile it would be safe to assume a lot more players have bought tower packs. This will allow SPS rewards distribution to go through many more players than those limited to only by holding plot lands. It would also be beneficial for players who hold Splinterlands assets to hold up in value by having some form of incentive to hold.
RiftWatchers Now In The Markets
Out of the gates prices on the new Riftwatchers are almost about that of Alpha relative to the ratio of DEC price and burn value. This to me means the cards are valued pretty high. Whether or not the prices remains this high or go even higher is the million dollar question. For me I am still focusing on building my Chaos collection therefore will not likely be looking at the Riftwatchers as much.
What I am hoping what Riftwatchers can do is dilute the overall value of the cards and bring down prices for the existing sets including Chaos. That too is just my hope not necessary if it will happen.
