Every week, @splinterlands posts a challenge for players to post about their battle, using a specific card or splinter. This week’s challenge, is to use Radiated Brute!

Ruleset

Weak magic & melee monsters can attack from any position!

Mana is capped at 14!

Here is my battle:

So, here was the team I put together:

Since, Radiated Brute is a Fire Monster, I began by choosing my Fire summoner. I picked, Tarsa- a powerful Fire Summoner! Tarsa is at level 3 and adds an attack stat to each melee monster!! She also adds a heath stat!

The village folk always say that Tarsa was born with fire in her blood, and that is true in many ways. Her burning rage and quick temper are amplified by her powers to summon and control fire. While her parents and teachers tried to instill patience for such dangerous magic, Tarsa had little time for that. She used her abilities to bully and threaten those that got in her way.

Her young and innocent-looking appearance only helped her to further manipulate people around her. “Tarsa always gets what Tarsa wants” is what she says to herself every time something or someone challenges her.

When the Chaos Legion arrived, Tarsa saw this as an opportunity to have free reign of her fire power without interference from anyone else. So long as the Chaos Legion opens the path for her, she can burn everything else to the ground. Tarsa's laugh echoed into the night. She stood in the middle of the wide-open plains, a blanket of stars above. Her arms moved in circles around her as she controlled a raging torrent of fire. It spun about her, embers drifting up into the night.

She was surrounded by a tribe of barbarians. Barbarians that were angry she was on their land, using their resources, and hunting their animals. They tried to talk to her, but Tarsa cared little for conversation. She was stronger than all of them combined.

She flicked her wrist and bolts of fire shot from her spinning torrent, impacting the warriors around her. They screamed. She laughed.

“Well, come on!” she shouted. “Let's see if any of you are strong enough for Tarsa!”

Since melee monsters can attack from anywhere, and they get Tarsa's buff, I tried to stick with melee! I was already feeling confident, but let’s get to my monster line-up!

My Monster Lineup

In my tank position, I chose Cerberus! This card is from the Fire Splinter and has some pretty good stats. It has decent speed, attack, and health- but I really like its abilities especially Heal, which restores part is its health, each round. It is also a Melee monster, so it gets a buff from the summoner.

Furious Chicken followed. The rule-set let it attack from this position, but I mainly chose it because it didn't cost a thing. It is also a Melee monster, so it gets a buff from the summoner.

I then chose, Scorch Fiend! Furious Chicken followed. The rule-set let it attack from this position, but I mainly chose it because it didn't cost a thing. It is also a Melee monster, so it gets a buff from the summoner.

Creeping Ooze was chosen to be in the fourth position. This card slowed the enemy, and the rule-set allowed an attack from this position! This card is also a melee monster, so it got a buff as well!

Radiated Brute, anchored the team. I chose this challenge, and the rule set allowed an attack from here. This card is also a melee monster, so it got a buff as well!

My battle went 3 rounds, and I only lost 2 monsters. I was very happy with the team I assembled, and was very pleased with my victory ✌🏽
