Riding Dragons to Victory!

Every week, @splinterlands posts a challenge for players to post about their battle, using a specific card or splinter. This week’s challenge, is to use the Dragon splinter!

Ruleset

All monsters have the Blast ability (Does additional damage to Monsters adjacent to the target Monster,) and no healing is s allowed!

Mana is capped at 22!

So, here was the team I put together:

Scince, the challenge is to use a Dragon Monster, I began by choosing my dragon summoner. I picked, Drake of Arnak- a powerful Dragon Summoner! Drake is at level 3 and adds an armor stat to each friendly monster!!

The Drake of Arnak is a medium-sized Dragon hybrid. He is highly intelligent and extremely rich, but cannot fly nor breathe fire. All his life he has honed his skills as a summoner, hoping to win a share of the glory that should rightfully be his as a carrier of the fire blood. The Drake's trademark is that his monsters are summoned to battle with a thin force field of blue fire, fortifying their defenses. Forms have been filed by the High Council to formally request that the Drake of Arnak hand over his secrets for the good of the united Gloridax, but he will not give up his proprietary magic without a fight. The Drake of Arnak is the Gloridax rival of Daria Dragonscale; the two despise one another.

I was already feeling confident, but let’s get to my monster line-up!

My Monster Lineup

In my tank position, I chose Silvershield Paladin! It's stats make for a pretty good tank!! Besides Blast, it also has the shield ability: Reduced damage from Melee and Ranged attacks.

Manticore followed. I love everything about this card. He's quick, has good health, and can pack a punch! It's reach ability, allows it to attack from the second position and the flying ability helps it evade enemy attacks! What's not to love?

I then chose, Armorsmith! This card is a gold foil- which is a bonus! I mainly chose him for his repair ability, which Restores some armor to the friendly Monster whose armor has taken the most damage.

Defender of Truth was chosen to be in the fourth position. This card has some really solid stats for a low mana card! Are usually choose him for the protect ability, but I forgot I was using him at a lower level.

Feral Spirit was selected for fifth position! It's attack is super fast, which the sneak ability allows from this position! Sneak also rgets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.

Furious Chicken, anchored the team. Furious Chicken isn't impressive at all, but doesn't cost anything! It's mainly just a punching bag! What a legend!

My battle went 3 rounds, and I only lost 2 monsters. I was very happy with the team I assembled, and was very pleased with my victory ✌🏽
