Hive donates and handover borehole to a Ghanaian community on World Water Day.

Today, on World Water Day, the hive ecosystem through the sponsorship of @valueplan under the hive empowerment initiative has successfully launched and dedicated a borehole to Asamang community in Ghana. This will be the first of two major boreholes built by the hive ecosystem for the Asamang village in Ghana. On the 22nd of March 2023, the hive ecosystem, which is devoted to improving lives, successfully inaugurated and handed over a borehole to a community in Ghana as the world celebrates water.

The event demonstrated hive's commitment to sustainable development and to empowering areas that are often disadvantaged and underprivileged. The hive ecosystem has provided Asamang with two big boreholes in the village. Today marks the opening of the first borehole, with the hope that the second will follow suit shortly.

This inauguration event took place at the Asamang settlement in Ghana's Ashanti region. The town has long struggled with a lack of clean water, forcing inhabitants to depend on dangerous sources that presented a severe health risk. Hive had been collaborating with the community for the last week to find a long-term solution to the water situation, and the borehole was the climax of their efforts.

Local and national officials, including the Queen mother of Asamang and the neighboring town, traditional authorities, and representatives from several Ghanaian media outlets, attended the occasion. The event began with a traditional welcome dance performed by the community, demonstrating their colorful culture and friendliness. The Hive representatives then briefed the guests, emphasizing the significance of clean water access and the role that the borehole will play in enhancing the community's health and livelihoods, particularly on World Water Day.

After the remarks, members of the community were taken on a view of the borehole site. The hive borehole is intended to bring clean, safe water from deeper beneath to Asamang and the surrounding cities. The facility also had a water treatment system, which ensured that the water is still safe and drinkable.

The formal delivery of the borehole to the community finished today's hive borehole ceremony. Hive officials awarded the local officials with the first borehole, which was inaugurated today, and assured them that the second borehole will be addressed in the next few days. The neighborhood expressed their thanks and gratitude for the organization's efforts, recognizing the huge effect that the borehole will have on their everyday life. With smiles and delight on their cheeks, the presence of schoolchildren made the event even more wonderful.

The successful commissioning and transfer of the borehole in Asamang demonstrated Hive's dedication to long-term development and community empowerment.
