We're 9 days into 2021 and what an amazing ride it has been in the world of Cryptoshphere. No doubt the trend will continue much into mid this year and possibly further on.

If you were following in 2020 Defi was the biggest winner emerging as the future of cryptocurrancy, the next step in real world applications. With lots of promising projects and the emergence of Stable coins a new phenomenon to the blockchain. Defi had everyone racing to get involved.

However global political events such as the US elections and border closures during March 2020 saw a max exodus from the cryptoshpere as FUD took hold many quickly sold off for fiat fearing the end of the world.

Etherum dropped to $AUD174 we all wished we bought it up, many did.

Certainty regained around the pandemic and markets began picking up. Fortunately for opportunistic investors Bitcoin was at an affordable price and people began quickly buying it up.

All of a sudden Defi took a back step as Bitcoin re-emerged as the core investment opportunity for many.

By December 2020 Defi networks took a slug and fell far below their market value with zbitvoin now at an all time high it began to drop ever slow slightly.

The market wasn't selling for fiat, the market was selling to purchase the now below market average Defi network that 9nce stormed the front lines. ETHERUM began to pump lifting the Defi network to their own bull run.

Now, 9 days into the new year Defi begins it's bull run while Bitcoin maintains.

A pendulum of buy swap sell is occurring, net market increases in Defi being pushed into Bitcoin and Bitcoin all time highs being used to push up the Defi network.

More and more first time investors continue to enter the market growing the cryptoshphere to over 1 Trillion US dollars. A formidable opponent to institutionalised financial powers and greater than some countries GDP.

It will be interesting who sustains the growth Defi or Bitcoin or if a new player, Stable coins will emerge as the victors in 2021.

What are your thought's? Is 2021 the year of the stable coin and will the end of 2021 see Cryptocurrancy exceed the trillion dollar mark?
