You have to admit, this whole crypto craze is pretty impressive with alot of real world such as streamlined payment systems that are Decentralised removing middle men. NFTs a great way for artists to make income especially in the middle of a pandemic. We saw alot of main stream artists entre the world of block chain tech to continue their work.

Decentralised Finance was a great beast to but sadly I think this is on its last legs as the US SEC begins to move in on it. It won't remove it completely but it will come with heavy regulations and the hopes of preventing honey pot scams, pump and dumps and plane old robbery. Pretty much everyday there is a new Decentralised Finance project which only serves to make the founders rich and early investors. A week later the token price is massively devalued and that's the end of that, often leaving many without their cash.

Block Chain Gaming is the new phase of block chain tech and I have to admit it is pretty impressive. It has a significant amount of potential, an entire industry that has been pretty much asleep generating billions for companies. That gaming industry is larger than Hollywood which is why over the past few years alot of actors have been making cameo appearances in games. Easier work for a few scenes and alot less work.

I still remember the PS1 game Armageddon which used Bruce Willis' voice. Just an impressive shoot em up.

But this industry is not without its own caution as money now pumps into this sector there are questionable practices occuring. The insane thing is that some of them appear to be clear scams and people not only dive right in but start making their own.

Loot

Source Recently announced by Vine Cocreator Dom Hoffman is a new not game that was launched on Ethereum. In Dom's words it's an "experiment" so there is no intention of actually creating the game. Instead the hope is that someone else will create the game. It's quite an interesting theory and one that I find ridiculous.

But what's even further mind boggling is the fact of how many people have launched into buying this non game NFTs on Ethereum.

What do you get?

Source

For 14 Ethereum you get the above NFT of items that you can do absolutely bugger all with. There is no game to go with the NFT. Insane right? But this hasn't stopped people from flooding into the market and in Dom's defence he released the NFTs free of charge just needed to pay for Ethereum transaction fees.

It hasn't stopped people also creating images for the NFTs but from my understanding you can't edit an NFT and change it the moment you do it is a new NFT. That's the whole point of an NFT a one of a kind minted unique piece of digital art.

But yet here were are with another rendition of an morphing industry that is in my opinion not value for money or an adequate use case.

If you've been around for some time, like me. You're probably frustrated because some really great project tank and not get the growth they deserve in place for crack pot ideas shilled by rich centralised people.

Rant over!
