Earth 2.0

If you've been following the awesome posts by @taskmaster4450le you might be interested in a lot of the futurist topics he touches on with an online world.

The stuff of dreams, where you have your own avatar and the ability to engage with the world at your own pace all in the comfort of your home.

Take a tour of the Eiffel tower, walk the streets of New York, go swimming in the maldives. Sounds like the matrix, the perfect world all from the comfort of your own home.

Interesting enough I was scrolling the internet and stumbled across Earth 2 which is an online real world simulation where people can purchase land and monuments.

The project is only in phase 1 but aims to incorporate it's own currency with plans to make it fully customisable.

The geolocations are 1:1 replicas of the real world locations built on mapbox technologies.

It is anticipated that the demand for virtual land will increase as demand for locations increase with value creating assets including tours, events and venues.

Rock concert in the VR world anyone?

Cryptocurrancy once again takes a lead role as Earth 2.0 moves to establish its own Cryptocurrancy to power it's world economy.

Interesting times are amongst us and the VR world is looking like becoming a reality.
