Amen. I've seen through the hype and gotten to the lack of discernible technological capabilities - for now. This won't be technically possible until we figure out how to provide the entire human population with high-speed zero-latency connections to the internet, and it'll probably take some form of personal responsibility for infrastructure management, like what Althea Net is doing within the Cosmos SDK framework, and building out physical networks that are community-owned and managed.

When Zuck changed the company name, I just saw it as a replication of what Google did, with Alphabet, in order to distance themselves from the horrible public opinion associated with the old name. I didn't even know what Alphabet was, that's how effective their switchover scheme was, and now, no one would think that it's the same company, just differently-named, and in control of a lot more companies than it was before its name change.
