Stock Market Record Highs While Jobs are at Record Lows

Even with record job losses, the stock market keeps going up to record highs. This illustrates the disconnect that exists as countries boast of "economic growth" while large portions of the population get poorer. And with constant money printing propping up big companies at the expense of the general public, the stock market gets further propped up.
This discrepancy may be viewed as a failure of the current economic system, but I am of the view that this is in fact by design. Especially since it is becoming harder to distinguish governments from corporations...
