Hello ladies of Hive and thank you for existing :)

I am very excited to be a part of contest #90 and even more excited to share with you one of my "side" hustles.

I write "side" in quotations because there is no "main" hustle

Years ago I used to be a teacher who worked with underprivileged kids.

I used to love my job, until one day I realized something that a lot of these students had in common.

Their parents were not fully a part of their lives.

Here I was, making and creating opportunities for my students, working from early in the morning to late in the evening. Here I was taking work home, in the literal sense of having to grade papers and also in the sense of going home and worrying about my students.

And where was my own child?

She was at her grandmother's house, being raised by someone other than me.

This didn't sit right. So I "retired"

This basically meant that I quit my job.

Since then, I have been doing anything (and almost everything) to piece together and income.

As long as I have time to spend with my children on a daily basis, I consider this a win.

My favorite job/hustle is being an Psychic Advice Giver online

I used to use Tarot Cards, but I have found that as I become more and more intuitive, the cards are more of a hindrance than a help.

Today, one of my calls was a 13 Minute Chat with a very nice lady, who is trying to get back into the workforce.

She was needing to reach out to past supervisors for letters of recommendation and she wanted to make sure she reached out to the right people.

I was able to answer her questions, and she left me a great review.

It doesn't always go that well. For example just now, I received a call, and someone was on the other line, explaining to me their situation.

I started to respond to them... but then they just hung up.

There are a multitude of reasons why they hang up, and its usually associated with not wanting to pay for more minutes than they need to, but it sure does leave a funny taste in your mouth to be giving someone your full attention, and then hear the dreaded: "Your customer has left the chat."

I used to email these clients and let them know "last messages from their guides" but I don't anymore. I am unsure of whether they even read the messages or not, so I just move on.

My kids giggle about it and say stuff like: "You're psychic, can't you just ask your guides if they will be reading the email?"

I laugh too.

I first started doing this work for money back in 2012

I used to have an Etsy Shop where I sold Tarot Readings for $5 USD each.

I got started because I got a Tarot Reading from a someone, and felt that they were a "fake psychic." I decided that if I wasn't going to trust, then I should trust myself.

So I got some cards, and started reading for myself.

I was very surprised by the cards I pulled, and how I was able to make small predictions.

I read for my sister as well, and one thing lead to another, and then suddenly I was doing this work for pocket cash

I take my Intuitive Work very seriously

I connect to the light, I meditate, I pray.

I have studied Reiki (light energy work), I have taken Intuition Building Courses, and I even did a 2 year long High Priestess Program where I studies the Moon Faces and Phases.

In order to get into the program I had to do the "pre" program for some time. It was very intense.

I am starting to take the marketing for my business more seriously.

Earlier today, before I heard about this contest (thank you listnerds!) I wrote a piece for leofinance about how work has been slowing down because of the recession.

I am now encouraging myself to log online daily, send emails to my clients daily, and generally take showing up for work, as seriously as I take my meidtations.

I am very happy to have this opportunity to share what I have been doing as a business

And am very happy to join this contest.

The hardest part if finding another woman to invite, but @misslasvegas is probably a great one, as (one of?) her hustles is HIVE, and watching her grow on the platform has been very encouraging.

She is one of the listnerds Diva's and I look up to her and her perseverance.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post

If you are interested in having a Reading with me for Psychic (or general) advice, we can make that happen.

I am available via discord, and I accept payment in crypto. I prefer HBD, but Hive, Hive-Engine Tokens, Bitcoin and Litecoin are accepted as well.

The rates in crypto are the much cheaper rate of 20 years ago, 0.99USD per minute. Which are attainable because there are no platform fees.

Thank you again Ladies of Hive

I look forward to reading the other entries, and have delegated 100HP to the cause. Lets grow the community enough to where all participants can receive upvotes!
