¿Vivir o sobrevivir en Hiperinflación?

(English version below)

Invito a participar a @evev @sacra97 @lisfabian

Hasta el próximo reto!!!

Living or Surviving in Hyperinflation

When this history of socialism began in my country, with the arrival of Chavez to power, the rate of the dollar with respect to the bolivar was Bs. 565, I remember that I was just out of high school and with what I had saved I bought dollars at that time, without having any financial knowledge or guidance from anyone, something told me that it was the best way to save money to buy a vehicle.

Today that rate has risen from Bs. 565.00 to 1,635,000.00, in an arithmetic operation that would represent 300%, but it is really much more than that, because in these 23 years of government our currency has suffered two processes of monetary reconversion (economic measure through which they have removed 8 digits from the currency), the result of that is incalculable for me because there are many zeros to handle...

The truth is that in this decline many other things have happened, food shortages, private investment failure, deterioration of public services, bankruptcy of the oil company, and countless other things to tell, so this invitation that @rutablockchain makes us in the midst of all these circumstances is very challenging:

I sincerely believe that through the veins of Venezuelans runs magic or some supernatural element, because it would seem the only reasonable way to answer this question before the critical economic situation we live daily, we suffer the highest Hyperinflation of the planet!!!!

I was greatly surprised when I saw a comparative graph of the minimum wage level in the countries of the region:

Clearly, working for minimum wage is not an option because we would literally starve to death!!!!

In my case I have had to reinvent myself in many ways. I give legal advice in a company and for now with the pandemic situation I have continued my work remotely (on line), with what they pay me I cover the necessary basic expenses, however, with this rate of hyperinflation for some time it is not enough to maintain a moderately acceptable pace of life.

I am a single mother of two beautiful princes and I can not stand idle depending on a single income, therefore, for a little over a year ago I resumed my activities of teaching classes and holistic therapies, which has greatly eased the burden of expenses, but it is an income that varies depending on the demand of my clients.

I also started creating content on #hive, and although the resources I am generating I would like to invest them in the platform, on a couple of occasions I have had to make use of them to solve punctual emergencies.

This is a little part of what I do to produce money, but in economies like these may not be enough, you have to appeal to adopt other measures that impact a little lifestyle, how to reduce spending on recreation outside the home, buy what is strictly necessary, sell what you do not use, take advantage of bargain prices, in short, be very cautious with spending and put creativity to work to respond to the challenges of the environment in the best style of Robinson Crusoe.

Although it may seem a crazy approach, when you have extra money a good option in this country is to invest by buying non-perishable food because something that may cost today 1.000.000 Bs. next week may cost double or triple, who knows, and the ability to wonder is overestimated.

Currently the supply situation has improved a lot, there are no longer long lines to buy a product and you can find what you need in supermarkets, paradoxically the problem is no longer having money and not being able to buy, but the other way around.

I would like to invest money in something that relieves me of the economic pressure, unfortunately I am not in conditions at the moment, however, #hive has been presented to me as a possibility to invest my time and effort in a possibility that will allow me at some point to make cryptocurrencies.

Last and not least, I believe that talking about attitude and motivation is a key to success in living in Hyperinflation. These have been undoubtedly 23 very hard years at all levels because the crisis in my country is not only economic, however I have found the way to grow and achieve my material goals in these adverse circumstances, I can tell you that I have the joy of having acquired my own vehicle and apartment, study my university career and specialize in two areas, travel and give my children the best I could so far and all this I have achieved thanks to my perseverance (some would say stubbornness) to persist in my goals and work every day with a lot of effort.

I invite @evev @sacra97 @lisfabian to participate.

Until the next challenge!!!
