Axie Buzz may soon be officially recognized by Axie Infinity
I was browsing through my feed earlier, then I came across @AxieBuzz’s report about their accounts growth and milestones achieved on both Hive and Twitter and it was nothing short of amazing. AxieBuzz is a community on Hive formed to cater to Axie Infinity users, one of the biggest blockchain gaming communities out there.
What interests me is the reach of their social media activities which can be found in the post, they have successfully gained the attention of the co-founder of Axie and one of the most popular Axie Infinity influencers on Twitter. One with 75k followers and the other with about 40k followers.
The aim of the community is to foster engagement and reward Axie players who create content relating to the game. According to the data shown on peakd, the community is netting over $1.4K pending post payout accumulated over quite a short period of time with a growing number of over 250 members.
Not bad at all if you’d ask me, I can’t help but think about the impact they would have if they got officially recognized by the main Axie Infinity founders/account. I mean, all it’ll take is a retweet or a mention and literally all hell will let loose, these gates to Hive will be flooded with Axie fans and content creators.
Now whether this will happen or not remains to be unknown. Most projects like to remain in their shell, it is usually left to the members of the community to discover and tap into other ways to prop up their earnings.
What I’ll personally love to see is an Axie Infinity tribe on Hive engine with their custom interface and token economy, similar to how Splinterlands has the Splintertalk tribe. Splinterlands has already gotten the ball rolling, this is how we win, it starts gradually, then all at once. While it’ll be cool for the official Axie team to start up the tribe on here, due to the decentralized nature of the space, any member or fan of the game can start up the tribe without waiting for the official go ahead which is what Axie Buzz is presently doing.
There are many other platforms who could also replicate this pattern, all it takes is one person to take up the initiative and run with it, Axie Buzz is showing us that this can be done. It is a whole new opportunity for artists, writers, vloggers, memers to earn crypto from their creation and as they bring value to the community and the project, the project in itself expands and returns value to these creators, a beautiful feedback loop.
