Hodling these Splinterlands NFT to the moon
My Splinterlands cards are mooning! Whoopwhoop! If you follow my Splinterlands blog you'll understand why I'm so torn between being excited and not so excited, but at this moment, I guess I should be excited that at least my cards currently hold more value than they did 3 days go.
Last time I checked and made a post about it, the price of the entire deck was worth around 570$, between that time and now, my deck has grown a bit and is worth about 625$!!!! Are we in the moon or what?!
How high can we go?
Well this is a question of what has led to this run, is it the combination of the genius brain behind the projects marketing and the exceptional qualities of Splinterlands NFT's or could this just be that the bull run is actually running everything up? Or maybe its just the inevitable result that one gets when fun is combined with deflationary asset accumulation.
Or maybe its just the combination of everything. Speaking of deflationary asset accumulation. With the way Splinterlands NFT cards are set up, cards usually do run out of print, players burn cards to earn DEC, players combine cards to strengthen them, these actions reduce the count of cards in circulation, and if the particular card is in demand, then the price is likely to go up.
As a typical example, the Legendary Lord Arianthus is presently my most expensive NFT thats a non gold foil card. It has been one of the cards in high demand since it was dropped, it is interesting to see that it is still in demand and the price of the card also correlates with it.
1 card is going for 21$ on an average, I hold 3, although combined, worth 45$ altogether, its interesting to see supply, demand and the market forces at work. So I'm beginning to see a new side to this game, I could just focus on speculating on cards, buy them when they are cheap and sell high....maybe...
Maybe. Just maybe.
