Hello guys, welcome to my Splinterlands weekly challenge entry. Since I started doing this thing, I mean since I started consistently writing about these challenges and my other random Splinterlands showoff posts, I'm used to offering you my best fights, the glorious ones, the jaw dropping ones, the ones that are finesse as I like to call them.

But this particular experience I'm going to share is rather perplexing, non of what I planned worked out, the monsters I selected acted all jinxed and I wonder how I still got to win that match, luck does exist my friend and this battle is one of such and the other hand nothing in this life is assured not even a win when it seems like it.

Here's how it went down

So it happened that this weeks Splinterlands challenge was to show off the Jester in winning a battle, holly molly, the Jester has been one of my favs since the beginning of Splinterlands as far as death Splinter is concerned! It has come to my rescue not once, not twice, Twisted Jester is a real G.

Do you know that I've played myriad of battles where this monster fought like it had its own mind, eliminating the neccessary opponents with its strategic ranged attacks without directly controlling it. Who wouldn't love the Jester!

So yeah I was rather excited about my line up, until I saw what my opponent brought to battle.

In this battle, I made two right choices or so I thought, the first was using Lord Arianthus as my first soldier and following it with the Gelatinous Cube,

I used the G.cube there because it had the ability to keep accumulating life of every monster that dies during the battle, this enables it to soak in enough damage, while other monsters are dealing with the other opponents with their heavy blows.

Thats where my twisted Jester was supposed to come into play, I've got mine at level 2 so it delivers a ranged damage of 2, combined with the Spirit Miner who delivers a magic damage of 2, I made sure to put these guys behind the G.cube thinking that they will have taken out the opponents cards before G.cube would die, but rather to my surprise, the cards were busy hitting the wrong monters and taking in as much damage, before I knew it, G.cube was eliminated.....right before my eyes.

Okayyyy....what's going on here?

But I still had Lord Arianthus, nullifying all damages below 2 from the opponents cards, after a couple of hits though, Jester was taken out, but not without giving a good fight!

Then at that point, the opponents best chances seemed to have gone down the drain as Spirit Miner took the stage and ended the matter. It took them out like a pro, just as I had planned, I guess the G.cube did play its role and I'm only over exaggerating. If you like to watch the replay kindly click on this image below.
