The best way to handle a difficult boss
I have meet with people who have worked in different companies and they always have a complain to make about their boss, this usually results in a frustrated work experience because they never feel that any boss that they work with is good enough and that gives them a consistent reason to change their jobs from time to time. I would agree also that some bosses are extremely difficult to work with and such people make it extremely frustrating to have a sound work experience but instead of changing jobs regularly, you can also do some work on yourself and see the way things turn out.
The first and most important key to stay with a boss is trying to connect with your boss, some bosses appear difficult because they are going through so much trying to keep the business in good shape but connecting with your boss will help you understand what the business needs to grow and survive and also what you need to do to grow the business.
Irrespective of how difficult your boss appears to be, he or she will be pleased with seeing you trying to grow the business and love your contributed effort, but you do not expect your boss to be pleased with you when you are not doing anything to help the business grow.
Getting connected with your boss within the office space will help you realize the specific areas of interest and also know how to connect with him to meet the demands in the office, there is no doubt that your boss will love someone who is putting in a considerable amount of effort into the business and wants the business to grow at all cost.
The truth is before you leave that job of yours in search of a better one or in search of a cooler boss, you need to ask yourself questions about the effort you are putting in place to make the business grow and also put yourself in your boss shoes, with the way you are managing that business if you were the boss would you be happy with yourself?
I am a great believer in handling other people’s business the way I would like mine to be handled, if I cannot give my best to an organization then there will be no need getting involved with that organization in the first place. Before you present that boss of yours as being an extremely difficult person, you need to ask yourself if you are doing well with being a good employee or you are just being difficult with the position, if you are not making any addition to the business then you are in no position to complain about your difficult boss, make sure you have a great and exciting weekend.
