Hello Hive

I feel excited to come around the community again to share with us the recent phase and progress of my life and career.
Started out as a fashion design student for 4years now in a quest to get a good career after so many challenged I am finally going to be giving a preliminary certificate for having completed the first stage indicating that I can now sew some simple, beautiful and well fitted outfits.

I took this as an opportunity to create my own brand and hence start my own business from the scratch.

Nevertheless in order to start I must first present an exhibition, making some elegant designs of my own showing my creativity and telling the world on social media that a brand has just began.

That is the stage where I am today but I can tell you that the challenges of business startups are just more than enough for anyone to decide to quit.

The problems of business startup seem to vary from places to places
depending on different factors.
Here are the ones giving me a hardtime now.

  • Lack of electricity

Sewing required the presence of electricity for me to be able to iron the clothes am sewing just because am fortunate enough to have a manual machine I can use to sew,
I have been sewing the exhibition outfits since 18th January of this year when I started and am yet to have it completed, it all half work and am getting frustrated already.. The power supply company of the country hasn't been fair enough and for a whole solid month we have not seen light in this community.

At a point we had massive migration of business and company out of the country to South Africa and Ghana because of this menace.
If you want to use power, you have to buy generators, generators are quite expensive these days due to the devalued nature of the country currency and even with a gen, we are not guaranteed the availability of fuel.
These are the many reasons for my frustration.

  • Absence of fuel for easy mobility.

This one hits my work and progress really hard, imagine not seeing a taxi to take me to town to buy all the accessories business. for sewing, for days my work was halted due to this reason.

  • Capital for business startup

This is really fair on me that over the years I have been able to purchase some key machines and equipment needed for sewing, hive earning have been very supportive since I have sold some hive in the past to buy all the equipments but I still need more finances and been jobless since I graduated from school, there is no extra source or income which is the main reason I am starting my own fashion business.

Well even without capital i can still work with what I have on ground, if am able to attract a few customers from my display and exhibition show, I might just be able to use the funds for early sales and transactions to invest in the business.

At the beginning all the profits made will be channeled into buying assets needed for work until I have enough of the most important machines used for sewing.
Next I can begin to pay myself salaries or look for more ways to promote the brand.

This is just a prelimary stage for my business startup and am afraid of the many hurdles I will have to escape before making further progress of if the business can stand a test of time.

I have you weren't bored with my rants, do leave some supportive comments, it keeps me going.

I appreciate you all.
