Weekly Highlights Governance outcomes The DAO engaged in it’s first governance activity with a handful of proposals brought to the DAO. We have improvements to make to the governance process, but it’s encouraging to see the participation we received.Big thanks to Nom for his efforts here! Here are the governance proposals that passed this week:

a. Do you as a Member of MonkeDAO want the DAO to pursue charitable opportunities, forming a group to focus on outreach, support, and donations for registered Charitable causes? i. Results: 581 for, 92 against. 86% voted for this proposal with a 41.8% total participation. Next step is uplifting responsible members and giving them what they need to organize.

b. Do you as a Member of MonkeDAO want the DAO to pursue Capital opportunities, forming a group to focus on developing the treasury and finding ways of providing value to SMB Gen2 Holders? i. Results: 714 for, 4 Against. 99% voted for this proposal with a 44.6% total participation. Next step is uplifting responsible members and giving them what they need to organize, and figuring out what our opportunities should be. There was a lot of original work behind the scenes on potential NFT offerings and Merchandise, so I’ll work to make more of that public!

c. For the subject of future governance voting, Do you as a member of MonkeDAO want one Token to provide one vote (IE holding 5 SMB provides 5 votes), or one vote per account/member? i. Results: 567 For, 133 Against. 81% Voted for this proposal with a 43.6% total participation.

d. As a member of MonkeDAO, how often do you want public Governance meetings to take place in the discord? i. Results: 421 for Biweekly (every two weeks), 172 for Monthly, 110 for Weekly, 4 for multiple times per week, and none for Other (Specify in #governance).59.5% voted for Biweekly with 43.99% Participation. Ideally we will have dao news during the weekly townhall, more spaces like the FTX and Ledger on a weekly basis. Nom will investigate a calendar option so that not only can we record Notes and the meeting itself, but so that our membership can plan to be there.

Expanding Monke Builders: This week, the DAO organized outreach to the community to beef up the team of monkes who are dedicated and committed to help us fulfill our vision for MonkeDAO. We had over 90 Monkes complete the form with a wide variety of skill sets. The plan is to carve out each department, identify candidates as lead, and require these individuals to run for an election. Every member will have a say on who the right person should be. Once elected, these leads will then choose their team members from the pool of 90 applicants (minus themselves). We plan to hold elections this week and have a structured team of monke builders going forward
DAO + Ledger Spaces: This week, btcduck organized a MonkeDAO x Ledger spaces to discuss best practices for securing your assets in the world of cryptocurrency. We were fortunate to get some great education from the Ledger team, and was able to answer many questions people had around hard wallets and best practices for asset security.
MonkeDAO townhall With FTX: This week, Brett and Tristan from FTX joined the weekly MonkeDAO town hall spaces. We had a productive discussion across a number of interesting topics including securities, FTX’s vision for NFT’s, Solana NFT communities, and much more!

MonkeDao Roadmap updates

MonkeTools From TWX

This week, progress was made towards refinement of MVP functionality for MonkeTools, with an addition of NFT collection features. The NFT collection page for Monkes is scoped to list the wallet's current holdings, and value them based on marketplace floor price data. Similar to: ZooKeeper - Solana's NFT Wallet Explorer.

Community Kotin has developed a survey that the DAO can use as a community input and feedback mechanism so the DAO can all track how we're doing as a community month over month. The survey is focused on 3 core themes: Community experience, DAO needs,and roadmap goals. The survey will be sent out to member the last week of each month, and the results will be published the following week.

Monke Merchandise TWX has taken the lead on making progress on merchandise. We're currently on designs and logistics for the first MonekDAO merch drop, and we need your help to understand what everyone wants from their monke merch. You can give input here: https://forms.gle/2RL3gV6smm7UQwQc6

MonkeDAO Capitol / Treasury We received funding from Digital Eyes based on reimbursing the Listing fees for SMB paid on their marketplace, for a total of 49.2 Sol. The Treasury currently has 107 SOL or roughly ~18.5k USD at time of this announcement, as well as a variety of Honorary and Donated NFTs.
