I have just started on a journey on creating my own 3d prints which i will turn into silver in the future.

The printer i have chosen is a Photon resin printer, i decided on a resin printer over PLA as it has far superior printing which you need for jewellery.

The resin i am trying first is by nova3d and is a water washable resin, i have not tried any others but i read some good reviews of this stuff.

I thought this was a nice touch with the print settings for the resin on the bottle, the resin isnt cheapest on the market but what i always go by is if it is cheap you will be buying twice.

I printed the sample print to check i had aligned the printer bed correctly and rinsed in water and cured them under the dim British sunshine which clearly could be better. The prints look ok and i have set my next print going so i can really see what my own designs look like.

The first thing to print was my hive ingot, it had 97 steps while printing and as i went to check on it i thought this made a nice pic.

The print looks ok but i will be remaking it as i unhappy with the depth of the writing and i will be changing some of the print settings as it was a bitch to remove from the print bed, hopefully next week i will have some scrap and can actually make one in silver using sand casting.
