You must have heard it, i got this coin and it is worth £10,000 as i have seen it on Ebay. It is a statement that will always make you laugh your ass off but sometimes on carboots people just pull a price out of thin air hoping someone will buy it.

Myself i use actual coin books for my pre-decimal coinage but you cant own a book for every coin and sometimes ebay sold & completed listings can give you an idea of market value, you cant go for the most expensive or cheapest but a happy median when pricing this way.

The coins i bought today are a mix of British territory crowns and British inspired medallions, the gentleman i bought these off had guessed at the prices and they where all over the place and much more than i have priced them at. I have had many transactions with him and i spoke my mind but not in a patronising way but he trusts my judgement to be fair with him the same way i do when it comes to ceramics with him.

I struck a deal and believe it or not i actually have all the coins priced cheaper than he had them, i managed to do deal as i bought everything and when your buying bulk it is easier to make a deal.

The coins look nice and bonny with the gold finish but they only hold a collectors value, the coins themselves are on average £30 from the mints selling them and hold about a quarter on resale which is shocking so remember when you see them adverts just keep your card in your pants and go to your local coins shop and buy some real coins.
