Quantifying something is important and even more so when it comes to buying gold & silver, i have bought many sets of pocket scales in the past with many variables but this maybe my favourite set ever.

Having a good balance between scales that can weigh a lot and those than can way accurately is a balance that is often a pain, like you can buy scales that can weigh many Kilograms but sacrifices the accuracy and you can buy scales that will weigh up to 20g but accurate to a few decimal places but finding something in between in the key.

The scales i have bought is the Triton T3R, there is a few reasons why and i believe it is the perfect sweet spot between accuracy and payload.

What i like about these scales is that you can calibrate them using precision weights, unfortunately these do not come with the scales but can be purchase for around £10 a set.

The payload of the scales is 500g which is plenty enough for weighing silver and gold, i do have other scales for above this but they are not required that often, a nice touch with these scales is that the lid unhooks and can be used as a tray.

What i really like about these scales is they have a robust case and the best thing is that they have a lithium rechargeable battery built it which can be charged of USB and there is nothing worse than buying silver and your batteries have run out.

My overall feeling about these scales is positive, they maybe 3 times more expensive than a cheaper set but i will be using these all the time and in my opinion it is worth it.
