I know you only write for the sake of writing, but this post as misinformative as it comes. There is no penalty for exchanging, trading, or possessing crypto in Turkey. The only restrictions are that online payment processing services can't help in the exchange of crypto and that you can't pay for goods and services using crypto in the same vein as other assets like gold and silver. You can still exchange crypto by bank transfers, hell I can withdraw TRY from Binance to a government-owned bank 7/24.

Faruk Fatih Özer did not flee to Thailand and he certainly did not have 2 billion USD worth of cryptocurrencies, that was an exaggeration of the media.

I can only call this post, a poorly researched opinion piece.
