I have been following the Polycub project closely since its launch. A month passed in the blink of an eye, and the number of Polycubs produced per block dropped to 1.

The number of Polycubs produced to date is 4.9 million. According to Polygonscan data the average block time is 2.25 seconds. This means that 38,400 Polycubs are still produced per day. In addition, 1,000,000 Polycubs previously produced are distributed to Cub investors every day for 60 days. This means that approximately 55,000 PolyCubs enter circulation every day. There are also development funds that are released, but I will not include them in the calculation as their amount is not very big.

By May 3, the airdrop for Cub owners will be over and at the same time, the number of Polycubs produced per block will be reduced to 0.5. This means that the number of Polycubs produced daily will decrease from 55k to 19.2k. On May 3, the total number of Polycubs will have reached 6,058,000. This means that about 6/7 of the Polycubs to be produced in total will be produced. Those who have accumulated enough Polycub so far will have a great advantage.

So, is Polycub a platform we would like to own at today's price level? Polycub is a unique platform due to its many innovations. We can still compare the current market value with Cub Finance. Since Cub Finance is an older platform, we can assume that the current price level is more realistic. Polycub has a market capitalization of $1.6 million, while Cub Finance has a valuation of $2.5 million. Before ruling that Polycub is undervalued, it is necessary to take into account that PolyCub is in the era of rapid coin production. Coin productions will approach each other after 1 month. (Due to different block times of BSC and Polygon) To make a healthy comparison, I will add the value of the coins to be produced in the next month to the current market value of Polycub. Thus, we arrive at a value of $2,020,000 for Polycub, which according to Cub Finance appears to be somewhat discounted.

So when should we invest in PolyCub? Does it make sense to invest in a cryptocurrency with a declining price? Wouldn't it be more appropriate to wait until May 3, which is the critical date for the token economy of Polycub?

I estimate that in the coming days, investors will start waiting for 90 days instead of paying the penalty. I also think that when bonding comes into play, it can create upward price pressure. As I feel the FOMO, I made some purchases at this price level. I plan to buy some more if the price drops further.

Conclusion

I think the best indicator to evaluate Polycub investment is the xPolyCub price. XPolyCub rose to $5 in the first three days, making a big profit for early investors. The hype around the platform allowed the xPolyCub price to rise to $14. The xPolyCub price dropped to $10, rose again to $14, and recently dropped steadily to $6.5. So it's not the Pc/xPc ratio that matters, it is the price of xPolyCub that matters and the price doesn't always go up :)

The fluctuations in price did not reduce my faith in Polycub. I made an additional investment as I believe in the long-term potential of the platform and will buy once again if the price continues to decline. I am not an investment advisor, you better do your own due diligence.
