HBD - ein kleiner Fels in der Brandung / A Pillar of Strength [Eng/Ger]

Wer mich kennt, der weiß, dass ich an sich keine Ahnung von Kryptos habe. Aber ich weiß, was ich an unserer Blockchain habe und wo ihre Stärken liegen. Und eine dieser Stärken, meist ziemlich wenig beachtet, ist der HBD.

Those who know me will be aware that I'm not into cryptos per se. But I do know what I like about our blockchain and where its strengths lie. And one of these strengths, usually getting little notice, is the HBD.

Ein unscheinbarer Token - vielen Usern nicht mehr als "es gibt ihn als Reward, wenn es keine HIVE gibt", an den USD gekoppelt und damit ein sogenannter "stable coin". Und einige nutzen auch die 12% Zinsen, die es zur Zeit gibt, wenn man HBD in die Savings packt. In der deutschsprachigen Community wurde in der letzten Zeit mehr über HBD geschrieben, nicht nur dank @oliverschmid, und ich bin schon länger HBD-Fan. Nein, ich bin da nicht groß eingestiegen, aber Reward-HBD kommen in die Savings und bleiben da, sofern keine Notfälle eintreten.

Recently, HBD was a topic in the German-speaking community, not only thanks to @oliverschmid, and I have been an HBD fan for a long time. No, I didn't get "all in", but Reward-HBD go into the Savings and stay there unless there are emergencies.

Und jetzt trendet gerade #cryptocrash überall und es wird von einigen der Untergang von Kryptos an sich prophezeit - was ja an sich schon totaler Stuss ist. BTC vor ziemlich einem Jahr, vor zwei Jahren... wo lag der Wert da? Eben. Nicht anders als bei Aktien, geht es halt auf und ab (und man kauft/verkauft grundsätzlich zum falschen Zeitpunkt die falsche Menge).

And now #cryptocrash is trending everywhere and some are predicting the demise of cryptos in general - which in fact is total nonsense. BTC a year ago, two years ago... where was it? Exactly. Not unlike shares, cryptos go up and down (and you basically buy/sell the wrong amount at the wrong time).

Aber unser kleiner HBD hat sich gut gehalten. Gut, auch er ist in der letzten Woche um 8,4% gefallen - aber was ist das gegen BTC, ETH oder ADA? Wohl denen, die ein paar Schäfchen im Trockenen hatten... HBD mag zwar nicht aufrgend sein, nichts mit dem man riesige Gewinne macht, aber dafür stemmt er sich brav gegen die Strömung.

But our wee HBD has held up well. OK, it also fell by 8.4% last week - but what's that compared to BTC, ETH or ADA? Cheers to those who had a "stable" nest egg... HBD may not be exciting, nothing with which you can make huge profits, but it is bravely weathering the current.
