The big news on LEO Finance right now is the start of LEO power-up day. This is planned to be launched on the 15th of June. The prizes are huge delegations that could have a real impact on your voting and curation earnings during the delegation time.

There are a few conditions that need to be met in order to qualify to win one of the 5 prizes. The first thing is that we need to reblog the original post here.

I can tick that off as I did it straight away.

We need to have between 200 and 20000 LEO power. My LEO power is at 887.053. 200 of that is delegated to Meowcurator. Therefore that should be fine for me so far.

Finally, we need to power up at least 200 LEO and use the tag #lpud when we make our post on the 15th of June. So as I can be forgetful, I've made a template post with the required tag, so that should be covered.

Today I actually bought 50 LEO on the market for 0,143 Hive and powered up. That could have been used towards the PUD. Now I need to think of a plan B. Good to know is that in the future if you power down your LEO, you will be ineligible for the prizes.

There is quite a large spread on the LEO Dex, so to buy 200 LEO at the highest bid price would cost 28,2 Hive and the lowest sell price would be 29,89 Hive.

Therefore I need to get hold of roughly 30 Hive in the next 10 days ready for PUD. It should be doable. I could skip shopping for a few days and eat the leftover food I have in the cupboards in order to power up LEO. The frugal side of me thinks Mr Money Moustache would approve and secondly, this is good for the environment. Not to mention it can help boost my LEO stack.

I might need to make a cover story to tell my wife why I'm not going shopping though. As if I say I'm buying crypto, she might flip out.

A stack of crypto food

Always up for the challenge, I have dived into my cupboards and managed to pull the above jars out. If I can make a few meals out of some out of date uncle bens sweet and sour sauce, baked beans, black beans and a jar of Nutella, the LEO power-up day is looking good.

A tip I got from a former colleague was that if you put the ingredients into Google, you can get some recipe ideas.

Luckily Google didn't let me down and found a recipe for "Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Beans"

I don't know what it will taste like, but at least I can power up some LEO.

What's your plan to get you over the line for LEO power-up day?

Thanks for reading.
