Splinterland: When to buy Chao Legion Pack???

As of 22 Oct 2021 GMT+8 2.53pm, One Splinterland Voucher on Hive Engine is selling for $17.11. So if you are interest to buy a Chao League Packs from the ingame shop, you may need to end up spending like $17.11 + $3.60(Assuming you got 10% using SPS) = $20.71. However, do you know that you can actually directly buy a chao legion pack from Hive Engine for only $11.51 without any voucher at all. .

Huhh??? How is this possible?? Let's dive a bit more deep into this. . . . .

What is the benefit of buying directly from the shop during Presale? Do take note that you need to have a voucher than you can buy one Chao Legion Pack in the ingame shop.

  1. Discount price of $3.60 using SPS. (After that, no more discount even if you use SPS to purchase)
  2. 300 Airdrops for daily SPS airdrop by owning the packs)
  3. A chance of receive all 14 airdrop cards.

What will you get if you wait and buy the Chao Pack from ingame during "public sale"?

So as you can see, buying from the shop directly during Pre-sale has a lot of benefits! To the extend that, people are paying $20+ to buy and sell the pack at $11+. In order to fully enjoy the pre sale bonus, you need to make big purchases like 500packs or so. Otherwise, the presale bonus are very limited for you and it may not be the best choice to buy it now.

The next tough question is, what should I do if I only have limited budget to buy like 10 packs. Here is some of the things you can consider. The choices may changes as we get more info on the "public sale"

  1. Instead of buying packs, wait for the packs to be opened and people start listing the new cards. Use the fund to buy cards that you really like.
  2. See if there any changes to the voucher ratio for purchasing pack. There is a chance that you may end up no need voucher or only 1 voucher to buy mutiple packs.
  3. Monitor the price of packs on Hive/AtomicHub, sometime they can be reasonable cheap too
  4. Dangerous but consider to pool with your trustworthy friends to get additional bonus packs
