Today my daily focus is water. So instead of talking about Silent Sha-vi which is also one of my top favourite Chao Legion Death card. I will talk about the water similar version which is Deeplurker instead. In fact, deeplurker has been one of my top favourite card in the whole of chao legion edition. Let's have a look at Deeplurker.

Deeplurker

Analysis on Deeplurker

You can see that even at level 1, it already have opportunity skill. With just 6 mana, at level 1 it already can have an attack of 3 with decent hp. Just that the speed is quite slow at 2. At level 6, it has poison which is one of my favourite skill to have on melee monster with sneak, and in this case even better with opportunity skill. That means this monster can poison the weakest foe in which the opponent totally cant remove if it is not at the first position. So even with shield, Deeplurker sometime can still kill off a 2hp monster within the 1st round. Shield block the attack but the poison can still reach the 2 hp. And what is insane is that Deeplurker has demoralise which means he can make other sneaker or melee monster weaker! Such an good offense with such a powerful debuff. This is just like the best of its class.

So as you can see, I use it so often that I got a max lv10 gold foil deeplurker. This will definitely help me to boost my RP.

Rules

24 mana with only even mana cards

Summoner

It is quite easy to pick common to pick Kelya due to its +speed and +shield. I like to see it as the merger of Pyre and Tyrus Paladium, each is very good in its own class, with just one more mana only.

Line Up

PositionNameRemark
1stBaakjiraOne of the best defensive tank in CL. The self heal is insane with its high hp
2ndKelp InitateGoes very well with Baakjira, remove affliction or stun on baakjira and can even heal backline.
3rddeeplurkerDefinitely need some offensive monster to break the pattern, the demoralised also reduce the effectiveness of the opponent if they go for the sneak monster break, which actually is unlikely cause you can select mana 3
4thIgorOne of the top favourite CL water card. Just 2 mana with stun and 3 range attack
5thTorrent FiendWith demoraliser, it is good to have other debuff like headwinds since we are playing quite defensively
6thDr BlightAlso since we are playing defensive, afflication can be game changer to break their heal if they are also playing defensively

This is like round 2 looks like. As we are both playing defensively. The attack pattern become very clear.

Attack Pattern

Thanks to the headwind by my fiend, their 4 ranges deal very little damage. Baakjira will take a total of 1+1+2 range damage which itself will heal 5 hp each turn. Means he will not take any damage. On the other hand, my kelp will receive 1 blast damage and 2 snipe damage which it will heal itself with triage of 3. So overall net effort is that my team will have 0 damage! Even my kelp is able to remove the cripple effect on baakjira. On the other hand, my deeplurk will be free to pick off these rangers as they have lower hp than their baakjira and kelp.

This is what it looks like in round 3. So as you can guess, my deeplurker killed off the 1st ranger.

Deeplurker - first attack to remove shield, 2nd attack to kill

This is the start of round 4. As you can see, deeplurker has attack the 2nd ranger and remove its shield. Now it become shield and is the nake target for deeplurker. The start of round 5, you can see now that the deeplurker had killed of the 2nd ranger in the previous round.

What is surprising is that the match did not follow the pattern of deeplurker killing all the ranger first as I predicted. What is interesting is that igor and baakjira has the same speed of 3. So in this match, my igor will go first before baakjira and what happen is that it have stun baakjira for a few time. Because of that, there is a few round where baakjira was stun and unable to heal. So it can suffer up to 3 range damage + 1 magic damage + 2 poison damage. Repeat that a few times and his baakjira has reduced to less than 5hp, and deeplurker went to kill it off instead of attacking the ranger.

At round 6, with baakjira out of the way, it is very obvious for me to swipe off their remaining team with perfect hp.

MVP

I think this match mvp goes to 3 key players.

  1. Fiend for greatly reducing the range damage, otherwise my baakjira will suffer 7 damages each turn which can eventually wear down my baajkira
  2. Deeplurker. If I also swap the 6 mana to get a few other powerful ranger or magic attack, we will both unable to break each other front.
Worthy mention: kelp is keeping the front and 2nd position perfect condition.

Improvement?

I think the setup is quite well rounded. However, if I play with death or life which has mana 2 sneak monsters, my team especially the fiend can be brought down very fast. However, I still feel that dr blight is a great last slot mana 4 for all the debuff and skills.
