With the introduction of news rules for the Splinterlands matches, today i would like to talk more about this new rules that is

Wands Out! With this rule, you can only use magic creatures for the matches.

So let's have a look at one of my battle.

If the rules allow me to use leaf, i would usually use Immortalise cause it gives void to the whole team. Since that is out, naturally my usually 2nd choice would be death cause Thaddius gives -1 magic to opponents. 3rd then i would think about Rathe cause the void armor can use the armour to take hits, many the creatures more durable. Since this round is high mana of 58, rathe could be a better choice cause white has quite a good number of high mana magic creatures.

And to my surprise, there is a new reward legendary high mana card that cause my attention. It has taunt and void! So with high hp, it seems like to be a super tanker for this magic match.

Lineup

PositionNameRemark
1stKralusit has heal, immunity to counter affliction, definitely another super tank
2ndRenovaHigh magic damage, triage which can heal the new reward card, making it even more insane durable
3rdHigh Priest Dariushigh magic with blast, who dont love it. the revive is actually not key here
4thDax ParagonTo counter those healer, in case they do the same combo, also i have limited mana after using 2 creatures with more than 10 mana
5thAdelade BrightwingAlways works very well with Rathe
6thIziarthe new reward card with Taunt + void even at level 1!!!

By round 2, Iziar is still surviving well with heal from renova and repair by adelade. While my team have actually used up one of the revive by their team. You can also easily see that the opponent team can only deal a total of 7 magic damage to my Iziar due to the void skill. With a triage heal of 4 and a repair shield to block one attack, Iziar basically is surviving the whole team attack quite easily.

By the start of round 3, you can see that we can take care of 3 creatures while our Iziar even have more hp than the previous round. Needless to say, there is basically no way for the opponent to win.

As expected, by the start of round 4, our team is killing off their front, while their back is dealing insignificant damage to Iziar. You can even see that Iziar is almost back to full hp at this point. The match ended in round 4 with a significant overwhelming victory.

Strategy

Void really can make a huge difference in wand out matches. It reduce the damage by roughly half. So you can see how surprised i am when i found out a magic creature with void. And white has a very powerful triage creature: Renova. This just make the combo even more insane. Do take note that triage creature are usually low mana, so renova is one of the exception. I am so happy that now I can do taunt + void + triage combo outside of leaf team in modern deck.

MVP: Iziar

Void is just so powerful in wand out match and Iziar is a high hp void creature. With taunt, it can safeguard the rest of the team. What even surprised me that at higher level, its hp become 14 which means combo with Renova skill, it will become 15 hp which means a triage heal of 5hp each round. What is even more insane is that at lv3, it has martyr skill. Martyr is powerful and works super well with taunt skill to ensure it die faster than the others.

Now i cant wait to play more Splinterlands to get more daily and season chests so I can faster level up all the soulbound reward cards!!

Soulbound multiple copies reward cards are really a super move by Splinterlands that force people to play more regularly and maximizing the ECR.
