I wasn't here during the steem hostile takeover.

I would assume it's because this platform can't be controlled by them and they can't just do what they want on here in spite of their massive wealth.

Will have to disagree because. Any wealthy person/project can buy large amount of HIVE and slowly develop and build the decentralised HIVE ecosystem with the right approach.

Also, We can't change the past now. We can work towards building decentralised economy with HIVE.
